Rest in Peace my brother Keith Menser !! I have not made any comments about this performance until now. My brother Keith Menser ( bass player for Mystic- Force) had booked this show a few years in advance with KIT. Keith thought in his heart that Rich Davis ( former guitar player for MF ) and Chris Lembach ( former drummer for MF ) and Bobby Hicks ( former singer for MF ) would be playing this show. Well he found out only 5-6 weeks before the 2012 KIT Festival that his former bandmates in Mystic- Force did not want to perform. My brother Keith did not want to let the MF fans down. The guitar player on the left side and vocalist are bandmates from another band and offered to help out only a few weeks before this show. The drummer was also found only a few weeks before this gig. The guitar player on the right had been working with Keith in MF for a few years writing abd recording some new MF music. This lineup of replacements only had a few weeks of rehearsals and to learn the MF songs to be performed at KIT 2012. The band also had no rehersal time when in Germany prior to this performance unlike many other bands that performed at KIT. Yes Keith tried to do a impossible performance playing KIT without the original members who made magic together. My brother did not want to let the MF fans down and tried to do his best. My brother Keith had many medical conditions that would have stopped most people from trying to enjoy life. Keith gave his Heart & Soul to Mystic-Force for the past 40 years. Sadly we lost Keith on 9/6/2022 to his medical condition after a 27 year battle. Rest in Peace keith my brother. You will live on in our Hearts and the music you helped create. The world will never be the same without you man 😢😢😢

Saw Keith and crew quite a few times, with Apollo Ra, at Maxwells in Parkville, MD. Some of the best shows I had and would ever see. As a fellow Marylander and Perry Hall (hellion!), losing Keith hit home. I have introduced many metal heads to the band over the years and all are still blown away by how amazing the band was, even with shifting members. Long live the memories of members (Keith, Bobby and William) that have passed and long live MF!

Breaks my heart . But I know Keith . I remember him and his brother coming over to hear me audition in 83. I played Krokus ,Eat The Rich . Within a week we were in their mothers attic playing Victim of Changes and anything I knew . It sounded so good . . They moved to another house close by . Our jam room was in the basement .Here's a memory . Keith and I went to a record store in Towson . He picked up Grim Reaper See you in hell and I picked out Metallica Ride the lightning . . We never heard them before. I remember our eyes widened and Scott rushed in the room . Fired up the bong . Lol . . Keith and I debated over the name of the band . I wanted Vendetta .and he picked Mystic Force . . I lost lol . After a year I decided I didn't have the talent and while at a music store lobby . Saw a tab " Two guitarist looking for a Bass player " .. Took it .. Here . Call these guys . . So he did . I didn't want to hold Keith back . Another find memory . Keith called me that they were opening for Crimson Glory at Maxwell's . I went ..awesome . . I asked " How you pull that off ? " Told me he was in NYC and called a room and it was Crimson Glory and they partied and decided to play together .
Thank you Keep It True for sharing this great live capture of Mystic Force. Keith Menser was clearly one of the unsung greats of bass and a master to be sure. Rest in peace brother!
Great show, thanx for putting it online! Would be nice to re-watch Adramelch or Whiplash from that year as well....
Btw, in case anyone is wondering, who is doing the vocals here: it's Ryan Rawlings from "Fallen Martyr". Guitarist on the left side is Gabriel Luis, he's from "Fallen Martyr" as well. Both are not mentioned on metal-archives in the Mystic-Force members section so far.
Please, Keep It True, put on Medieval Steel, complete, I never asked you for anything.
After putting much thought into it I concluded that this was the most underrated band of all times and genres.
Hearing the singer again, I think he did a much better job that what I thought back then live

Killing me .. Keith is my friend and one hell of a bass player . I was there the day Mystic Force was first uttered . I was the founding guitarist . Some ?think I am throwing shade and if you are so good .. Why aren't you still with them " life choices " .. Problem is .. Too Jumpy !! . No foundational melody . Great gymnastics .. People want to hear a hook . Not watch scrambling fingers. . You can fly fingers all over the frets . But it needs .. Simplicity !! It needs a root ,a core ,a hook The guitarist on the left was Way out of tune ..
@@coolmandude1000 Negative comments ?? ... By the way .. That is part truth there " I Quit " .. I left is what I did .For several reasons , One was I didn't want to hold Keith back , Secondly . I felt I didn't have the necessary talent , Thirdly , I needed to provide for myself monetarily and have a steady income . I found my niche which I excelled at. Each of us has varied talents . You are somehow interpreting I had a grudge against MF thus Keith .. Keith was a great bassist undeniably . He did his thing and I was proud of him . The music itself was something I was critical of. .. Have you ever been critical of something in your life ? Sorry for your loss . I was shocked when I found out Keith had passed .
@@IVORY123100 Hey Steve sorry man going through so much pain right now with losing Keith. I have been at his house for 3 weeks working 7 days a week 12-14 hr days packing up all of Keiths things and it is just beyond sad. You were right the guitar player on left was out of tune. He and singer are from another band that keith released thier album/ CD. They play speed metal and of course are tuned a step down. The singer also was having throat problems when they landed in Germany. I removed my post man and i thought i would follow up with this post. Keith gave his life to Mystic-Force and spent every penny he ever made on that band. I have found receipts from $$ Keith has spent promoting MF and it is over $35k. Just blows my mind. I also found 30+ live concerts of MF on VHS i will convert to Digital format sometime in the future. It will take us another 5-6 weeks to clean out Keith's house. It has 39 years of hobbies from both my mom and Keith. So much stuff its insane. I just got a 30 yard dumpster today and im sure it will be full of stuff in a week or two. To much stuff to try and keep. Donations of most things and will try to sell some furniture. Not selling any of Keiths things. Gonna sell my house and move to a rancher and have a music room with all of keiths MF swag and instruments on wall. I have not taken Keith's studio apart yet and will be last thing i do. He recorded a album with a Christian Metal band and i have the entire album on his computer. He also recorded another album with another band coming out soon to. And Keith had 12-14 new MF songs on his studio computer system to. His bass tracks and guitar tracks are all done. Most songs drum tracks are done to. I have to get this album completed for him. His singer was sadly supposed to fly in the past few weeks and record the vocals. It never happened.I have never been so sad in my life man and cried so much. I sit in his room for hrs a day packing his personal things and its killing ne man. Keith had been my helper for 34 years at work. I have not worked since i found him deceased. I have another HVAC contractor taking my service calls and installing my HVAC systems i sold before Keith passed. Keith i would had installed at least 11 new HVAC systems in the past 4 weeks. It was 4 weeks yesterday i found him deceased. I sat with him for 4 hrs while fire department, EMTs, Police and finally coroner showed up. She saw all keith's seizure meds and blood thinners. She also found a bottle of Oxycodone keith was given for his back pain 11 years ago. He was subscribed 20 pills and it still had 20 pills in bottle. So coroner knew he was not a drug addict. My life will never be the same without keith. He only lived 6 blocks away. I will make you copies of everything Keith ever recorded with MF and all the other bands he played in to. Keith could had gone on to play in many well known bands but his heart was 100% MF period. He recorded with some other bands but just projects. I have a few live shows with William Wren R.I.P. singing older MF songs that Bobby Hicks R.I.P. sang on. William was incredible singer too. Keith got Bobby Hicks and William into MF and now all 3 are no longer here with us. Just does not seem real man. Well gotta get working in my basement making room for some of Keiths things. 11 totes that are 27 gallon full / packed of concert and band T Shirts. So many T Shirts its insane. I have your phone # and will call you when my mind is more focused. Peace Man and sorry for my comment.
