Camilla, I have basically been ignoring you since your references to Princess Catherine were so offensive post her surgery with intrusive questioning. It's indeed fortunate MM and PH found each ether other. A more obnoxious pair is difficult to imagine. Wallis may have been manipulative per some reports, but she stayed loyal, had excellent manners and class! She was well brought up, and despite not wanting the marriage, she stayed with Edward, and they were on everyone's guest list in France, seen as delightful company with good taste and manners. The opposite is true for PH and MM, and both are graceless, rude, obnoxious, narcissistic, and treat their staff and those they meet with sickening contempt. The comparison is very loose.
Wallis stayed mum because she knew if she didn't, payment from the king would dry up. She was, by most accounts, a nasty piece of work.

I like Catherine but I have to disagree. Something isn’t right and the media and public sense it. Much of the speculation would have been settled with some actual photos or videos of Catherine. All that has been put out have been proven to be altered, fake or AI. People are going to continue to question what is going on until Catherine is legitimately seen in public.

The monarchy is not in crisis: some members of the family are going through a terrible time, but the institutionof the monarchy is unaffected. George VI didn't know he was dying? Look at the pictures of him on the tarmac waving off Elizabeth and Philip on their way to Kenya - that was a man who knew he had seen her for the last time. George may not have "known" what the diagnosis was but I'm pretty sure he did know his life was coming to an end.
