I've had this peice about a week,(I got the cocola)Pros-fit,finish are fine, lockup is rock solid, deployment is super smooth and snappy.Knife came extremly sharp, slices really, really well, very pointy.Carries yery well, pocket clip has just the right amount of tension.Unlike my urban trapper, this knife feels very solid.Oh,and it looks very nice! Cons-only one,the weight for the cocobola is listed as 2.2oz,that is incorrect, actual weight is 2.76oz
Like the slender sleek lines of the knife. If I worked in an office it would be great. Looks like a great light duty knife. Probably a great letter opener.
That is a beautiful knife. Boker seems to be doing pretty well lately. I like a lot of the newer knives. Congratulations on the booboo. Sign of a real knife man.
@wayne's sharp world, like yours, the edges of the liners SUCK! I spent some time on the wire wheel then polisher to clean up the edges and the finish overall. Still need to work on the pocket clip. The pivot screw stripped out almost immediately due to the shit-ton of threadlocker they dumped in there. I should have hit it with my precision hot air gun prior to attempting to unscrew it. I've sent a request to Boker for a replacement pivot set. I don't have my hopes up that they'll comply without me paying. Overall, I do like the knife, though only after cleaning up what the factory should have done prior to shipping.
Why did u mess with the pivot? My action and lockup was perfect from the factory, but glad you mentioned the locktite,if I ever do adjust it,I'll heat it with my hairdryer first, before even trying it
Getting the cocobolo one. I've been waiting for CRKT to make a CEO with wood scales, preferably cocobolo but I wasn't going to be picky. But they missed their chance.
Maybe I should have watched this before ordering. But I didn't want to miss the $59.99 price at BHQ. I will take care of the poor finish while I'm dying the G10 scales. Thanx!
The pouches are a nice touch, but not a lot of use. Manufacturer's please if your going to do pouches give me something useable, at least a belt pouch or pocket pouch. Something along the lines of the maxpedition pocket pouches in a cheaper form or even a plastic box that can be used for storage.
The dual zippers have extra interlocking rings, so you can secure it with a little lock : > Great for transporting knives that are illegal to carry in Germany and still be save from punishment! For example: You can legally carry (exceptions beside) a one-hand-knife, or a locking one, but it can't be both. When you want to carry a knife where the blade locks, you need to have it being a 2-hand-opener to carry it legally by default. Or not have it being able to lock in place when opened, if you want to have it being a one-hand-opener. So that's why this Böker puch is great! :D Because if you carry it in a locked container it counts as transport. You could also put it in the glove compartment of your car for that purpose, if you lock it. At home or on your property that's no problem though. And for carrying there are also exceptions. Grüße
Had they paid more attention to fit and finish it would be a $87 knife and not $67 with that being said I have one coming to me... I have had many versions from the og micarta aus 8 one all the way to both protech versions, now I want the compact protech on in all black. They r so good. And look wicked... very minimalist.
@@WaynesSharpWorld i just took mine apart today. The bearings are indeed caged on the air model. Sadly, the detent on mine is so strong, it hurts to even flip it more than 1 or 2x. Think I'm going to exchange it.
Yeah I have been disappointed by Boker before. Nowadays when I hear Boker I automatically think, pass. However I do have a Exskelibur that I am happy with.

Would have liked to have seen it next to the CEO and Exarch and other gentlemen's pen knives.
The packaging is cool, that is always a plus in my book. Sometimes that will push you over the edge in a purchase

Looks to be a really slim sleek win for boker. Great review 👍
Would have been cool to see comparison to CRKT CEO
Now THAT'S a Gentleman's knife! :D
That's a pretty cool looking pocket sword! I'm digging the cocobolo one on BHQ. I might have to pick one up.

😬👊🏼😁
Picked up the last Titanium version available at the moment on Amazon. We'll see how the fit & finish is when it arrives. Will report back.

Still a great deal for $60! 👌🏼👊🏼🙌🏼
I'd like to see a mini with better fit/finish but man is that silhouette sexy!
More handle on this vs. the crkt. I think that’s a plus.
This will be the kwaiken for me, but I'm gonna wait for the micarta version...you just know its coming.
Oh for sure! 👌🏼
Would love to see it avail in 3 inch blade for restricted places.

I kinda like the variety, as a lot of knives that don't end up getting stored come with interesting pouches I'll use on knives I want to baby.
Knowing yourself is half the battle. Which is why my favorite "fidget toy" is a balisong knife. With a blunt "trainer" blade.
The pouch has double zippers with little loops so You can put a tiny luggage padlock on it.

Very interesting to know! Thank you, GrüBe!
@@WaynesSharpWorld Pleasure! 🙂
Man, that is a sleek knife right there. Waiting to hear the price, because this might be my next knife
$67 👍🏼
$67, They also have titanium handles for a few extra bucks
Youtubian question: I bought CRKT CEO, and I love it but...I find it a bit small...just a bit...now would you recommend this as an good replacement❓
Kaviso is restocking their Boker Kwaiken Airs with fat carbon this coming fall. That would be an excellent bigger alternative!

It is without Jimping perfekt for me. I hate that they put Jimping on ever dammed Knive.
Disassembly video? :) maybe they caged the bearings finally?
I don’t do disassembly videos… there’d be way too much cussing 😂 although I can tell you the bearings are NOT caged.

Looks like a serious cut going on there with all those band aids
So nice,blows the ceo away
@Mr. Shlock I dont agree
Does it hold an edge for long
It’s typical VG10 edge retention.
This is what baby samurai carry in Japan.
Also the boos is fucking badass
I almost got one about a month ago at a knife show but realized after reading the box it is made in China 🙁
So is this one longer than the CRKT CEO flipper?
Yes by .3-.4”
Hey Wayne wats good bro?
All good here bud!

does anyone know if the pocket clip is reversible on the kizer genie
It is not
@@WaynesSharpWorld that suuuccks
👍👍👏
Why made in China?
Not sure. My guess is to keep cost down.
Because everything is made in China
Price went up 😑
Bandaid finger haha.
😎🤘🏼
Yall realize how much these uboobers make right?? Its waaaay more than they let on. Word
Are you referring to me as a uboober?
Nothing beats German steel
Have examples to share ?
You mean Chinese
Why don't u ever talk about the locking clip. It looks a bit weak and it's far more important then fit and finish
Locking clip?
@@WaynesSharpWorld the piece that slides in and locks the open blade in place so that it doesn't close on your fingers
What is locking clip? Wtf!!
wahat’s w/that blk ceramic finger band y’all wear? a cult?
That’s just my wedding band I wear to the gym lol
