Jody Summer's appearance is almost exactly like Samus at the end of Metroid. James McCloud is the most obvious reference, wearing the same outfit as Fox McCloud and his machine looking like an Arwing. Leon is also a character in Star Fox, who is a chameleon, but in F-Zero is a wolf. Jane B. Crystal, a pilot from F-Zero Maximum Velocity, looks like Zero Suit Samus. Both Arwings and F-Zero machines use G-Diffuser technology. And the law enforcement is called Galaxy Police, Galaxy Federal Police, or Galactic Federation. I actually think there is an F-Zero game where you can outright play as Samus Aran racing in her gunship, called the Crimson Flare. Wolf O'Donnell is the name of the leader of Star Wolf, and in this show James McCloud's war buddy's name was O'Donnell. Bart even goes as far as saying James McCloud's partners are Pigma and Peppy, exactly as they were in Star Fox lore, and rather than their team being called "Star Fox", it's called "Galaxy Dog". In F-Zero X, James McCloud says "I drive like a sly fox!" Samus Aran and Captain Falcon are both Bounty Hunters, and in this Andy Summer timeline, this also means they both worked for the police before becoming hunters. That's all the references between those series I've seen so far. I didn't count EAD and Mario cause that stuff's separate. Oh, and just to blow your mind, if you use a 0 character instead of spelling out Zero in the title F-Zero X, it spells F0X.
