First heard this song back in the early 70's from the singing of Liam Weldon of Ballyfermot, Dublin who heard it from fellow travellers...
I remember someone singing it in the Old Triangle but can;t remember who it was. The lines 'I thought you would be my love forever, but now I find you were only lent'. hit a chord. I've waited a long time to hearing it again. It's as good as I remember.

Beautifully delivered, as it should be sung, this is the best version, love the concertina, a reminder of times gone by, when all you had musically, was an accordion or a fiddle, this is brilliant, well done
