@@SimoWill75 Thanks for the reply! I knew it had to do with something sharp. Do they actually stop a good strike from a snake? I just moved to snake country here in the states and checking into protective gear. My hearing is poor and cannot hear the rattlers, which are our major snake danger. I understand the vegetation, we have cactus of several varieties. Nothing quite like kneeling down to look at some shiny and getting a thorn in the knee!!
Cheers mate. The gumboots are mostly for the spinifex, it’s very thick in places and very spiky. Not sure if the boots will stop a snake bite, haven’t been attacked by a snake yet hahaha
@@gregs2509 they would stop a snake bite for sure. Our snakes in Australia can't even bite through denim but I think the American snakes might have bigger teeth that can get through clothing more

I haven’t found more with the 7 than I did with the 5000, but I haven’t had it that long yet and over the years all the easier gold is picked up so it makes it harder each year. The 7000 is producing gold in areas I have thoroughly worked in the past though.

Mining for opal is something I’m interested in doing!!! I was thinking with gold getting harder to find it might be easier to get opal because you can’t simply detect opal. Yes the gold is getting harder to get, as with gem stones it’s a non renewable resource, we keep taking it and it’s not being replaced so it always going to get harder. But we battle along anyway in hopes of the big strike!!! 🍻

Snakes.... and Spinifex. Hard Spinifex is like needles, goes straight through multiple layers of clothing.
