While on the surface I feel she's viewed as completely villainous, she had moments as the season went on where she worked on bettering her attitude in response to the feedback from her team. While she only said her disapproval in a talking head, she didn't engage in that conversation when it happened. Rest in Peace, Sandra.
Yeah, I agree. The roles had been reversed, but then yet again Joy showed the attitude of everything has to be perfect or she will easily go down and it shows in her first episode.
I definitely think Sandra had the good sense not to get involved with that petty conversation. I mean, honestly, Rochelle wanted to start a family at some point after her HK (nothing wrong with that at all) and she just asked Sous Chef James about being a family man himself and how he's dealing with it. Tbh Elise getting mad at Josh was warranted, he made a rookie mistake that could’ve cost the team the challenge from the get go. Don’t remember if the red team won that challenge but I do know that if they hadn’t fixed the fire they would’ve lost outright.
they didn't win that challenge [they lost the tiebreaker] and Elise absolutely had every right to be upset with Josh for that dumb mistake since it cost them the challenge she said it best though: cold coals don't create fire
Honestly, the most heroic thing these villainous contestants can do is perform well in the final service. I absolutely detested Elise but you gotta give her props for both her performances in the final service. Considering one of them was for Michelle, who she absolutely hated, Elise could have very easily pulled a S15 Dani and walked out or sabotaged her station but she stuck through the service and played it straight (excluding the pre-service arguing).
marc,vinnie(S3), jackie: gave their chef a solid final service Elise: could have nominated herself as the best leader on red team during final 8/9 but choose jennifer instead, didnt sabotage michelle on final dinner service tavon: doesnt think don deserve to be nominated in opening night sandra: doesnt believe rochelle should be nominated for wanting to start a family
I would definitely consider Zach carrying the blue team to finish service single handedly should have been mentioned. Say what you want about him later on but dude was a beast at the beginning
This was a very good video. And I agree with your choices in the heroic moments. Jackie and Elise were very impressive in their respective seasons in how they redeemed themselves in the finales; excluding Elise's performance in season 17, of course. Scott from Season 7 may be in his own little world, but he did make for great entertainment with the whole "heroic theme" playing in his confessionals.
Jackie working her ass off for Ariel isn' t exactly surprising, considering she and Ariel were actually pretty close all season. She was working her butt off for her friend
Also worth mentioning is Vinnie doing a great job for Rock in the S3 finale, Johnny getting onto Matt for being too aggressive in S16’s opening night, and Tom being understanding of Ramsay’s critiques of his signature dish
Probably another honorable mention: Sabrina's time as best of the worst. She may have had too wide of a grin during that but she made the right choices (Emily and Melissa), even while Russell was tempting her to put up Gail in a Michael Wray move.
The fact that Ariel chose Jackie 1st and she delivered that performance is why I will always defend her win. I know Ariel isn't exactly popular, and there's not the cream of the crop to choose from that season, but damn Jackie 😂
The only reason Carrie and Elise stopped bickering on finale night was because they both wore blue jackets, meaning the good vibes from Paul and the blue team rubbed off on them… but mainly because Paul betrayed Jennifer and she said she would “have his back” 🙃 All kidding aside it was crazy to see how much support the two of them showed Paul that night. If only Elise did this again on HK all stars when she was on Michelle’s team
Because Paul manage to calm both of them before the finale starts to put their differences aside and both of them understand. Meanwhile, in Season 17, Elise is still giving Michelle attitude until Nick told her to shut up. Elise could sabotage Michelle in finale if she wants to.
It doesn’t really count cause it happened after the show, but Johnny from season 16 seemingly has expressed regret for the way he acted on the show. It’s not much but being able to own up to your bad behavior is the first step in changing And I hope he does, the guy seemed less evil and more like he just has some serious issues It’s different from Scotley who just seemed to want to be mean because it was fun for him
If i may suggest an idea: most idiotic moments on the show. For example: - S9: Elizabeth suggesting the red team do Asian food in the high school reunion challenge when it was a Hawaiian theme - S3: when Vinnie put water in the risotto because "vegetables are made of water" - Both S8 Antonia and S20 Jayaun making a dark rue based dish for their signature dish
I don’t agree with thinking Josh was right on calling Elise out tho. It would’ve been different in different circumstances but he was actually being misogynistic that time. Elise and the girls were rightfully calling him out for not listening to them and ruining the challenge for them by dumping cold coal and suffocating the fire. Josh just didn’t like being called out, and the way he acted towards Michelle the night before and with Manda later in their punishment showed he was just using the excuse of Elise “being a bully” to make her look like she was wrong. The worst part is Elise wasn’t even being aggressive or “a bully” that time… Josh had said “coals create fire”, and Elise replied “not cold coals” and Josh started attacking her and being aggressive towards her. Josh showed many times he didn’t like being called out. When he was with the blue team he did the same when they were calling him out for messing up risottos, Milly was rightfully shutting him up when Josh began mocking the others for not “being perfect”, Milly reminded him he(Josh) didn’t have the same experience as them and that they basically had to teach him how to work on the line to be at the same level as them, but Josh went and told Milly to sit down (the same he did with Elise) because he didn’t like being called out. Imo, Josh just used any excuse to make others look bad so he didn’t have to take any accountability for his mistakes, and that’s not that heroic imo.
Also, would it be surprising (given Josh's misogyny) that he slid into a woman's DMs sending unsolicited shirtless in bed snapchats asking for meetups in LA?
I was on the side of Josh calling Elise out for her intimidation and stuff… until he made the HGH comment. Like… I don’t care if that was supposed to be a read, that’s a pretty below-the-belt blow. If you want a legitimately good read on Elise, take a look at Josh’s Season 14 co-alum Nick and THIS one: “Red team’s scores are losing but MY scores aren’t!” “Well guess what, you’re still on their team HONEY! BOOP BOOP BOOP!!!”
@mimib8032 HGH is Human Growth Hormone and yes it is used in bodybuilding. It is also used by some athletes to aid in injury recovery and for strength.
That first line of this video does not apply to Elise lol cuz her husband immediately clocked that it was her own personality that made the chefs hate her
Honestly, even if Scott can be a bit arrogant and egotistical, episode 4 really did show he was willing to put those attributes aside, and use his experience as a leader to help his teammates.
Being honest, Corey’s shouldn’t even be considered a heroic moment because she had an entire character ARC toward the end of Season 4! She started off conniving, but eventually toned down as the season progressed becoming really likeable It’s been more than once, when she tried to nominate herself (besides getting rid of Jen) and she developed a full on friendship with her former arch-rival Christina.
I know what two of your top 5 memorable moments from season 3 will be: Josh getting sent home mid first black jacket service and the duck breast the other 3 is up on the air
I think I’d like Josh calling out Elise more if he wasn’t doing it to try and distract from his own performance/behavior. I want to like josh more because he seems to have a good heart but some moments were very rough and a few of his comments towards nick never sat well with me.
Hey Flynn I was wondering if you could do a video of chefs that would do great if they were allowed to return and give Hell's Kitchen. Whether that would be a chef that would make it a lot further than they did or a chef that could possibly have a complete redemption arc if they were brought back.

Love the videos. Ever thought of making a series like "How would [chef] do in X season". I think it'd be some pretty interesting takes on something like putting Christina from season 10 against the season 14 competition or something.
Russell is one of my favourite characters in the series, taking more of an antagonist role than a straight up villain. sure, he was arrogant but he wasn’t smarmy and he absolutely had the talent to back it up, as he was one of the strongest cooks the show’s ever had.
It's sad how Russell threw away his guaranteed S8 win because of unprofessionalism. Nona only won because Russell was too much of a liability because of his attitude and aggression. I can tell Russell has a good side but he needs to show it all the time and not just sometimes.
5:12 Russel tbh is one of my favorite chefs and tbh I don’t really see villain in him and plus he was a decent person in all of his episodes (besides finale ofc)
I fr agree with this because the way I see it is that he had every reason to be upset with his teammates, especially when they never listened to him in challenges, which would actively cost them the win. While I don’t justify the way he reacted, I understand his frustrations so badly
I like trying to find out who the new villain will be this season. So far, Carmen sticks out. She's not a villain, but she is super annoying and won't take responsibility. Similar for Jason, who has too much of an ego
Carmen is indeed annoying, although not flat-out bat$h!t awful like Elise or many of the Season 10 women. Jason was thankfully in the background in the latest episode, but I'm sure he will emerge again soon to show his awfulness.
Marc from HK 19, it wasn’t amazing or anything, but he took being the last pick like a champ and, as far as I can tell, didn’t cause any problems for Kori pass prep. I feel like in another season he could have been an easy black jacket despite what people say.
i agree marc to me maybe considered a overhated chef, he was solid on garnish and has no resentment for being picked last unlike a certain someone who was butthurt when kori picked jordon over her. (totally not kori's loss btw)
I have a good idea for a video, are we talking about the most iconic Hells Kitchen challenges or are we talking about the weirdest Hells Kitchen challenges
Overbearing and arrogant though he is, I still remember Scott helping Salvatore. The biggest bright light in my book, bar none. Another standout for me is Russell. After winning a challenge, he pretty much enjoyed that reward alongside with Gail. Another thing I realized looking back on season 8, everyone on the blue team except Russell constantly confronted Raj at every given moment. I mean, Russell became more of a douchebag after the first few episodes (if not the first couple).
I don’t feel Josh was being heroic at all, he was put on the girl’s team and immediately acted like he owned the place picking fights with Elise. The only reason he talked about her being a bully because he wanted to talk over her and be disruptive
I disagree with the Josh segment. I believe that scene was not actually the elimination discussion, but a general conversation after the team lost a challenge and was waiting for their punishment. During the challenge, Josh dumped cold coals on the team's fire causing it to go out, playing a factor in the team's loss. Elise and the rest of the team were rightfully upset at him for this. While I do think Elise is a bully, her frustration at that moment was justified, and him standing up to her was more so just him being ignorant of messing up the challenge for his team.
Also,in fairness to Elise, when she corrected Josh, she wasn't rude about it at all. She just told him straight up what the issue was,and she didn't get into her usual mood and tone until after Josh calls her a bully. Plus, his HGH comment was extremely uncalled for.
I don’t understand why S1 Andrew was ever considered a villain. He was a decent enough cook and no more cocky than anyone else that season. He actually seemed like a pretty cool, dedicated guy. Between him and Chris it seemed like Ramsay just had a massive hate boner for some of the people on that season. His elimination was complete bullshit.
I really don’t see Andrew as a villain in season 1, as I feel he has the best character arc out of any of the contestants in his season. He went from a arrogant man baby who disrespected Gordon and put blame on everyone to save his hide, to learning to keep his mouth shut and actaully listen to Gordon and his fellow team members. By his last episode, he actually had Ralph/Jess’s back even if they didn’t have his and his redemption was clear in the finale, where he was willing to keep working despite his cut and help Dewberry and his team as well despite Ralph’s betrayal getting him kicked out.
You know, I'm more and more firm in my statement that Jason Underwood is easily the worst chef to ever disgrace Hell's Kitchen. Not only was he a disgusting individual (at least Frank was somewhat funny at times, though unintentionally) but he was one of the most pathetic cooks in the kitchen as well. He also had no redeeming moments like Russell, Sabrina, Elise or most other villains. The only comparable contestant for me is Matt Hearn from Season 16, this duo is worth each other (about Matt there was a controversy when he directed racist comments at Hassan which is disgusting, while Jason posts bigoted content on his accounts).
Even though i don't like Russell I gotta give him credit for trying to help Raj. I'll also give credit to Elise for helping Paul out who I'm not a huge fan of either. As much as i hate those two. I gotta give them credit where its due. I'll also give credit to Jackie for stepping up and helping Ariel. Although i do think Mark deserves an honorable mention even though i don't consider him a villian he still stepped up and helped Kori in the final dinner service.
You forgot also in opening night Season 16 after Matt making an idiotic argument with Ramsay (you know trying to be Deadpool by looking at the camera) , the other douchebags such as Andrew, Johnny and Paulie told him that is not cool.

Another one from the S16 blue team - Johnny calling out Matt for being a douchebag on opening night.
Douchebag calling out a douchebag
Wonderful
marc,vinnie(S3), jackie: gave their chef a solid final service
Elise: could have nominated herself as the best leader on red team during final 8/9 but choose jennifer instead, didnt sabotage michelle on final dinner service
tavon: doesnt think don deserve to be nominated in opening night
sandra: doesnt believe rochelle should be nominated for wanting to start a family
Tavon isn't a villain
Marc was not in season 3
@@EpicAndrew97There have been more than one Vinny in hells kitchen thats why he put S3.
I would definitely consider Zach carrying the blue team to finish service single handedly should have been mentioned. Say what you want about him later on but dude was a beast at the beginning
Old crash and burn troupe
I honestly think that elise isn’t a bad cook but it is her attitude that overshadows her good cooking ability
I wish Corey was in rookies v veterans over Jen. Then again I don't if she would have wanted to come back.
I'm glad I'm not the only one to notice how Russell was the only nice person that was nice to Raj
3:45 Barbie's reaction had me dying
Me too! Yet, making faces like that was a reason Dana put Barbie up for elimination. Ridiculous.
Jackie had s redemption in my opinion
The only reason Carrie and Elise stopped bickering on finale night was because they both wore blue jackets, meaning the good vibes from Paul and the blue team rubbed off on them… but mainly because Paul betrayed Jennifer and she said she would “have his back” 🙃
All kidding aside it was crazy to see how much support the two of them showed Paul that night. If only Elise did this again on HK all stars when she was on Michelle’s team
That's why I like Season 9 Elise over Season 17 Elise
Weirdly enough I watched that finale last night. Everyone on Will’s team had no mistakes except for Krupa and he ended up losing because of her
Because Paul manage to calm both of them before the finale starts to put their differences aside and both of them understand.
It’s not much but being able to own up to your bad behavior is the first step in changing
And I hope he does, the guy seemed less evil and more like he just has some serious issues
It’s different from Scotley who just seemed to want to be mean because it was fun for him
If i may suggest an idea: most idiotic moments on the show.
For example:
- S9: Elizabeth suggesting the red team do Asian food in the high school reunion challenge when it was a Hawaiian theme
- S3: when Vinnie put water in the risotto because "vegetables are made of water"
- Both S8 Antonia and S20 Jayaun making a dark rue based dish for their signature dish
“I thought cold water boiled faster”
I mean making a dark stew or gumbo isn't that bad, but Antonia literally made bum-wee and put it in a bowl...
@@danksmeme698 it is if you try to make it in 45 minutes when they take 3 to 4 HOURS to make PROPERLY.
S13, Sadae... if you know you know... xD
Barbie's reaction to Josh calling out Elise hahahahaha
Barbie always had the best expressions 😂😂
5:06 How did nobody notice this man actually smiled here
I was on the side of Josh calling Elise out for her intimidation and stuff… until he made the HGH comment. Like… I don’t care if that was supposed to be a read, that’s a pretty below-the-belt blow. If you want a legitimately good read on Elise, take a look at Josh’s Season 14 co-alum Nick and THIS one:
“Red team’s scores are losing but MY scores aren’t!”
“Well guess what, you’re still on their team HONEY! BOOP BOOP BOOP!!!”
What is HDH?
Nah, HDH is commonly used in bodybuilding. He called it right.
@mimib8032 HGH is Human Growth Hormone and yes it is used in bodybuilding. It is also used by some athletes to aid in injury recovery and for strength.
@@karoovanderwesthuizen8321he obviously meant HGH or Human Growth Hormone (I believe Elise is a bodybuilder)
DAMN PETROZZA WAS VIBIN
Season 16 Blue Team Trying doing something good (difficulty: IMPOSSIBLE)
Who knew these people actually cared about others besides themselves
That first line of this video does not apply to Elise lol cuz her husband immediately clocked that it was her own personality that made the chefs hate her
Honestly, even if Scott can be a bit arrogant and egotistical, episode 4 really did show he was willing to put those attributes aside, and use his experience as a leader to help his teammates.
Honorable mention:
Sabrina(Season 8) 5th dinner service
Kimmie(Season 10), show respect to Roshni :)
I HATED Jackie her entire run. Seeing her help Ariel win was amazing and redeeming in my eyes. Absolutely class
S7 Scott is the only chef ik with a theme on the show 🤣🤣🤣
LOL!
What about Andrew S7?
@@justsomeguywholovesberserk6375 Good Point! He also got his them song for being an weirdo!
@@justsomeguywholovesberserk6375 yeah lowkey funny but very much creepy 😬
Wow, an actually good moment from Elise? Wow
I know what two of your top 5 memorable moments from season 3 will be:
Josh getting sent home mid first black jacket service and the duck breast the other 3 is up on the air
Not really a “villain”, but when Lacey emerged as a leader in her first service on the blue team, I found it genuinely inspired
One of my favorite shows
What a cool list!
Hope to see “Top 10 moments from “Served Raw” services that didn’t make it to the show” for each season someday!
Here are my list
Season 1: Elsie
Season 2: Virgina
Season 3: Julia
Season 4: Louross
Season 5: LA
Season 6: Tennile
Season 7: Nilka

id love to see this
I could understand Josh (s17) being on there, but me personally I just didn't care about him as much. Plus you don't put cold coals in a fire place, so Elise kinda had a reason (imo)
HK fans cheered on Josh so loud when she puts Elise on her place during S17.. you can tell Elise’s teammates saying thank you deep inside on Josh…
Too bad he didn't do better than his last season..😅😅😅 he was good at the start.. the old crash and burn
@@Tuturial464 yup. Josh got spoiled too much on his current job (at that year) that he doesn’t need to do that a lot of work and still get paid.
Jen was such a horrible person she made Corey look like a good guy
Good guy lmao
Love the videos. Ever thought of making a series like "How would [chef] do in X season". I think it'd be some pretty interesting takes on something like putting Christina from season 10 against the season 14 competition or something.
When will there be a countdown on the opening night services from worst to best?
video idea: top 5 most hated hell’s kitchen chefs
Russell is one of my favourite characters in the series, taking more of an antagonist role than a straight up villain. sure, he was arrogant but he wasn’t smarmy and he absolutely had the talent to back it up, as he was one of the strongest cooks the show’s ever had.
A little kindness can make a difference.👨🍳👩🍳🧑🍳
It's sad how Russell threw away his guaranteed S8 win because of unprofessionalism. Nona only won because Russell was too much of a liability because of his attitude and aggression. I can tell Russell has a good side but he needs to show it all the time and not just sometimes.
I guess you could say Nona only won because Russell lost.
@@Youngtinman in the words of Season 15 Frank you are correct lmao
5:12 Russel tbh is one of my favorite chefs and tbh I don’t really see villain in him and plus he was a decent person in all of his episodes (besides finale ofc)
I fr agree with this because the way I see it is that he had every reason to be upset with his teammates, especially when they never listened to him in challenges, which would actively cost them the win. While I don’t justify the way he reacted, I understand his frustrations so badly
Here under protest is admitting that Russell had one single good moment.
Anton got me crying somehow
Another amazing video
still think ralph screwed andy over that first season, and andrew still did a great job of supporting him
Josh going after Elise is a hero moment
You should do best/ worst episode of each season
I take it Elise felt like she owed Paul for helping her get Jennifer eliminated in the Final 5. Seriously, f*** that elimination.
Since you already made a video on the worst judges, you should make a video on the best/ most iconic
I saw Elise and I was like no! But I give it try!
Well, how was that last section for ya?
@@sweethysteria8737 Okay! I get what Flynn was saying about her! I mean Elise probably didn’t want to lose again!
Thank you!
Russell’s one reminded me that Gale exists, she was a black jacket? I barely remember her
I really don’t see Andrew as a villain in season 1, as I feel he has the best character arc out of any of the contestants in his season.
He also credited hells kitchen giving him alot of experience on the industry too
You know, I'm more and more firm in my statement that Jason Underwood is easily the worst chef to ever disgrace Hell's Kitchen.
Yoooo! called it!
The Look on Barbie's Face when Josh called Elsie a Bully was Priceless
Curtis didn’t attack Raj either
Even though i don't like Russell I gotta give him credit for trying to help Raj. I'll also give credit to Elise for helping Paul out who I'm not a huge fan of either. As much as i hate those two. I gotta give them credit where its due. I'll also give credit to Jackie for stepping up and helping Ariel. Although i do think Mark deserves an honorable mention even though i don't consider him a villian he still stepped up and helped Kori in the final dinner service.
What about Dan apologizing to Mary in the finale
Funny how in season 16 when you show a clip of one of them being nice literally the next clip shows them being a piece of garbage. Go figure
Haven't watched it. Hope tavon in the nominating phase is mentioned. He was on point
Edit: hope for a part 2
You forgot also in opening night Season 16 after Matt making an idiotic argument with Ramsay (you know trying to be Deadpool by looking at the camera) , the other douchebags such as Andrew, Johnny and Paulie told him that is not cool.
I think you should have also mentioned the moment when Russell stood up against the high-schoolers which were worse than him
