- Heres the new addition to the family. The legendary 2006 Subaru WRX STI. I've been wanting this car since i was a child and finally got it. I couldn't be more grateful and excited to see that dreams do actually come true.

the center diff scroll doesnt vary the torque out put between front and rear axels. You would need to change the diameter of gears or have some type of CVT to achieve that on the fly. What it's doing is modulating the extent of slip allowed in the center differential. From a true lock (4x4) to a true open (AWD) and with limited slip degrees between which is more ideal for on road performance use. The standard WRX simply has a limited slip viscous coupling. Really cool that STIs can adjust it.

I have an 07 STi ... The headlight knob adjusts the angle of the headlights 0 is normal position and 3 is angled all the way down. Also, there is an easter egg with these cars that if you click and un-click the seatbelt mechanism 20 times in 30 seconds it will deactivate the beeping ✌🏾

@@salvobrothers5928 YES! I did this about a month ago and it totally worked! We car test our music in the STi ( I have a system in mine) so the beeping was super annoying until I figured that out 🤣

@@Plurthlings i just tried it this morning and it worked! but it came back on once i parked it for a while and got back in to drive again soo idk if i gotta do it every time or if i just didn't do it properly

I just picked up a 06 STi myself! Super excited! It also has been a dream car of mine since they came out. I was a junior in high school when I first saw one and said "I will own one". Im 32 now and I do.

Sick ride! This has got me thinking actually. I'm all into the LSJ vs LNF debate recently, but then, they are practically the same car - same fwd, same single axis rear suspension. Vs something like this - awd/rwd, independent rear suspension - a completely different car from Cobalts. Enjoy!
I'm right there with you, why bicker amongst the same car but different engines, the one has variable cam timing capabilities that's about it. but now you got me thinking maybe do some comparison videos with cobalts against other cars. this STI is such a driver

@@salvobrothers5928 I have it up for sale for 300 on Facebook market place. If it don't sell I'm gonna put it on my saabaru. It rumbled pretty good before I went to equal length header. It's not crazy loud though.

@@salvobrothers5928 i personally currently own an 08 balt ss (LNF) with GMS1 and full bolt ons and its such a fun car. I owned an 07 balt (LSJ) that i also really enjoyed. All and all both are a great platform for lots of fun!
