    This guy did such a good job explaining each step of the processing and the materials and machinery through the factory. You can tell he is an expert and probably very good at his job.

      Yes I feel 😌 nice and high and I did not need any marijuana or alcohol emeralds have that magnetic draw even when they are many thousands miles away 😂lol

    This subject of gemstones and their processing has such fascination for me but watching these craft men's fingers in such a worn down a state, makes me think of the irony that wearer of these stones, usually for reasons of vanity, enjoys wearing and showing them off while the maker of this beautiful product virtually has no fingers left! 😢

    It's very important to know how a emerald is made, because that way is less likely to be rippled off by a con man or con jeweler.

      They are made in the ground and if you’re the majority of people are getting ripped off by self sourcing, trying to save a quick buck.
      If you go to a jewellery you will usually be buying a good quality stone and paying a fair price for them creating it into jewellery for you.

      @@sensual.waffle if all you do is hold in your hand and put against a rough moving object, it does look easy. try it with a clear stone and you see how much it is ruined by that cheap approach. quite disappointing actualy. as you said, low quality and sweat shop.

      @@gideonwackers7693 You confuse Chromium oxide, which is green and safe, with chromium TRI Oxide which is red and carcinogenic. And you can clearly see that they use the green/safe version.

    I have purchased an Emerald gemstone and after watching your video I investigated and found that this is a Synthetic Emerald. Thanks to Samit Bordia of Samit Emeralds, you have saved me . Also I request you to please upload more videos so that people can understand with your experience. With my product I have also received fake certificate of purity from fake gem testing lab.

      I do t think GIA would shoot a documentary in a su thetoc emeral factory. They gemology specialists, not your average buyer. You might have come across other Indian s'y thetoc gemstones cutter but not from this factory.

    the video was fine but I gave a thumbs down because this factory is poisoning their employees with chrome oxide. I stopped watching when I saw that. So dangerous. No one has on a respirator, no gloves, and all men.

      Sadly this is how the gemological industry operates. The people at the bottom of the food chain end up getting exploited for pennies whilst the insatiable greed of the big dogs results in them turning a blind eye to the human cost of this despicable industry!

      @@littlejacquesful - I agree with you on that. Generally most Emeralds will be included, it’s very rare to get a clean one that is legitimate Emerald. Especially as it’s a member of the Beryl family of gemstones.

      Chromium oxide. They polish with it. But it’s horrifying to see these workers licking it and working without respirators or gloves. Prolonged exposure can be catastrophic.
