All throughout school I used Casio machines and they were typically faster than the TI models and in my opinion, Casio was and is more user friendly at less than half the price of TI.
@@patrickjmt Because TI invested in a huge effort over the last 20 years to build curriculum and integrate into textbooks, to the point schools often don't want to deal with students having issues with different models and having to play IT support. So they just demand everyone buy the same. And of course, the TI 83/84+ has been the same insane price forever.
I had the older model 9750GII at highschool. It was already great back then and looking at the menu and some of the buttons on there it has got some neat new features already visible to me.
I didnt have exactly same model but it had same features. I swear these things are life saviours in exam. Cant imagine my engineering without a great scientific calculator.

I have an fx-9750Gii that I got back in 2013. Found it on clearance at Target for $11.50. I love it. Does everything but cook breakfast.

Honestly in my opinion the TI-84 was one of the slower calculators wonder why they make you use them
That's not true in most schools. It's just up to you to learn how to use your own calculator if you have a different model.

Wrong, it is not hp rpn, therefore it is shitty
