  • Part 2 of this job. We are cutting down the remainder of the larger co-dom tree and completely cutting down a smaller co-dom. As usual, we are working and having a good time. Enjoy it, we do.

That first slice would have worked if you cut at the same angle on the far side first, until it starts to pinch on your bar. Then move up an inch or so and do a normal slice cut on the back. It'll come off nice and easy.

Ya. I think so. BUT, not as entertaining! I want to try some new stuff. More creativity! 🤪 Not trying to wreck anything, but I think I can accomplish this in a safe manor.

Great job, buddy, as always when you did. Your first slice cut, you know. You're saw that having off power, but that's okay. It happens, but next time if it helps put a nice front cut in on an angle and then come right on top of that angle, it will help a lot better God bless.

It says "send it", not "send me" lol. Idk what wood was this handle made from, but a trusty one for not snapping and being strong enough is the european cornelian cherry, a type of dogwood that maintains some elasticity.
And those wedges spitting very entertaining, haven't seen one that impressive, almost bragging "DENIED".

Awesome work, honestly we just use a tag line, most times so we don't have to do all that bang, bang stuff

I banged wedges to knock over this huge oak against the lean. Broke like 5 of them, it was a hot mess. Nothing you do could make me criticize you at this point. Side note: those dang wedges are expensive!

Very creative with the wedges and axe!
Too bad you guys didn’t have a heavy little machine that could simultaneously lift and push. 😂

I'd really like to get a tree jack but they're about $3,000. 🤔 Tempting.

    • @PurpleNovember
      @PurpleNovember 6 місяців тому

@@VeteranTreeService They are pricey and would be pretty hard on the comedy aspect!🤣
The little skid steer probably could have gotten that tree over but it can be a little tricky and hard on the machine if wrong. It may have been an easy one though, there’s only so much that can be seen from a video vs in person.

@@PurpleNovember 100% we could have pulled it over. But we wanted to wedge it. 👍

@@VeteranTreeService Pushed. There’s a way to kinda wedge the skid steer against the tree. It can be a little tricky and takes some practice to do it right and not damage anything.
I like your creative wedge though!
Do you think you’ll ever get one of those tree jacks? The hand crank ones, not the bottle jack type.

Does the Rope Runner move down when there is no load on it? Never used one but it looks like it does when you were showing that spar trick. Reason I ask is that the ZigZag won’t self tend going down without load on it.

8:40 a good idea of what I do going down a straight tree I wrap my flipline around twice so itll tighten up and wont slip. Very useful, I use it quite often.
