@@mmmmmray a lot of choice mushrooms: porcini, morels, chanterelles, coccoras. I post the mushroom picking videos on my channel, mostly from the bay area
You should always pull and not cut. You get more edible part this way and you can always cut or shave the dirt after you pull. There is no damage to the mycelium from pulling.
yea some mushroom hunters prefer cutting so that u dont get any dirt into the gills. i was doing that first then realized that most of the mushrooms r unveiled so it is ok to have dirts on, then i was just pulling. most of time it's just personal preference i think :P

depends on where you are picking them. I think most of the national forest requires one and the rule can be different in different places
