I had the pleasure of narrating both Barbarian pieces. Thanks for the opportunity to be a band kid as a crusty old math teacher. Fingers crossed for a Part III.
As a 7th grader too i wish we were playing this but, we’re playing Armory (another of Stanridges pieces) which i don’t hate it’s fun as a trumpet player but man now i want to play this so bad.
I'm playing this for my band's winter concert tonight! I play clarinet 2 and I'm so excited! We love the yo ho ho's! Thank you Randy Standy!! Your music is the best!!
My friends and I actually love this song. The narration at the beginning and the *Shout and Stomp!* parts are just so perfect. I get to play French Horn on this masterful song, something I've never played before (trumpet/keyboard main), and it's VERY fun. This is how my bandmates who don't know my UA-cam channel will find my UA-cam channel, and I'm kinda alright with that.
I was supposed to play this on I believe the 15th for a winter concert, sadly I caught the flu the friday before the week of the concert, and I unfortunately missed it, still had fun practicing timpani for the part : )
I played this last year with my best friend (and still) Kobey, when I tell you trombones had so many parts and we CARRIED are low brass section, hands down my favorite piece I’ve played yet thank you Randell for making this a burning memory I’ll never forget
thing i love about the santa the barbarian pieces is that each family gets a part, and low brass gets to play in the second half what high brass played in the first half of the piece
For my school, it's truly an honor to play such a majestic track like this. It feels orchestral and correctly pronounced musically speaking for Christmas. The percussion section of this track really excites the audience - for sure. Thank you for posting this to other fellow musicians, and, well, _others_ who aren't musicians.
i remember playing this with my middle school band last year. super fun, we typically played at least one of your songs per concert. i love your music!
For my final middle school year, we played this. It's been so long and I still remember how much work we put into this song and our last winter concert, it was amazing
I remember exactly one year ago I played this and oh my God it was amazing, I recently played the new version of this song, and that might be the last time I’ll ever hear it because I might be transferring to a new school and they might not know about this amazing masterpiece
We preformed this song, and all loved it, especially the ho ho ho part (we were all giggling) I'll miss this song. - Travis Tiger band member: clarinet.
As a French horn this is my favorite price I played in my winter concert along side winter winds and boulder ridge march this is so good and honestly French horn and alto sax killed it in this piece
You have such an iconic way of writing and uniting music and narration. I heard a school band play this tonight and I immediately recognized the style due to having heard your Beware The Krampus arrangement 6 years ago! I thought it sounded like the same composer and lo and behold it is!
I'm doing this for my winter concert. I swear I'm the loudest person in the band when we get to the shout and stomp parts. Just imagine your a random middle school PE teacher and you hear a girl start screaming like a pirate. trust me, i'm going to raise the dead from their watery graves with that this winter concert
I love all the Santa the Barbarian songs, I’m trying to get my band teacher to let us play this one and the one after this for Christmas event that we have every year.
Thank you for visiting my channel! Be sure to check out some of my other new releases! Santa the Barbarian: Snowpocalypse ua-cam.com/video/1gTTYCv9Nug/v-deo.html Slava March ua-cam.com/video/1HL4sh09vhY/v-deo.html Fracas ua-cam.com/video/pTfAcrAhjy0/v-deo.html
My band director must think that we’re superhuman for expecting us to be able to play this by Christmas. (Edit: This was at a point where I really doubted my skills as flute, considering I had just come into high school. I’m okay now. Thank you for the assurances, but I promise, I could play this just fine now and during.)
I like the reference to the first santa the barbarian song with the transition, and how it has this 6/8 feel without having to teach kids to read 6/8 music (which is just annoying to read in general)
I am a seventh grader that plays bands on trombone and this is my favorite piece it sounds very nice and in sixth grade I played the original Santa the barbarian but I think I prefer this one
If you enjoy this one, be sure to check out part 4, Son of Santa the Barbarian! ua-cam.com/video/M2C09NgPjms/v-deo.html
I’ve bean yearing for this since for ever. i’m playing it on baritone
I had the pleasure of narrating both Barbarian pieces. Thanks for the opportunity to be a band kid as a crusty old math teacher. Fingers crossed for a Part III.

My band did part 1 last year for the winter concert and are doing this one this year. I love being a trombone.
"no percussionists were harmed in the making of this video"
i find that very hard to believe
My friend played auxiliary prices and had to play like 7 different instruments, he was harmed
We started this song, I'm crash cymbal
As an 7th grader playing this music on my concert I love this piece.
I play the trombone and just practicing it is fun.
As a 7th grader too i wish we were playing this but, we’re playing Armory (another of Stanridges pieces) which i don’t hate it’s fun as a trumpet player but man now i want to play this so bad.
3:00 the scream gives me chills but the whole song together gives me chills this is so good.
I'm playing this for my band's winter concert tonight! I play clarinet 2 and I'm so excited! We love the yo ho ho's! Thank you Randy Standy!! Your music is the best!!

The band played this today. I'm not a band kid myself, but now I'm considering it.
My band is doing this for our christmas concert and i'm so excited to be part of it as second clarinet.
