- Here's your first look at my new Alumacraft Pro 185 bass boat paired with the all new Evinrude HO G2 115hp engine. The storage space in this boat makes it a joy for tackle organization.
The little red hook holder is made by a company called Gruv Fising - gruvfishing.com/

I’ve been watching your videos for a few years now, you have gotten me through bullying, and the loss of my grandpa. I’ve always been able to get my drive to go fishing again back cause of you. Thank you for that.
That's awesome Carter. Bullying sucks. Back in my day the teachers let us beat up bullies. I was that guy. I hate them with a passion.
Thanks for the kind words Gene. Great boat set up and good walk through! Keep us in the loop with how things go with that motor.
I have a 14ft aluminum boat and have been wondering about getting an earlier 2000s bass boat. This was a pretty cool video I love organization. Bass boats seem to really play the role in out of sight, out of mind.
I'll never have a boat like that but still really interesting to watch. Congrats and keep up the great content 👍👍👍
Great looking boat man Hope ya get to put it to some good use.
Dude no wonder you’re catching such big bass, you’re fishing right next to a nuclear power plant!
In the winter the bass huddle around the power plants cuz their warm
If I’m not mistaken that’s Chattanoogas
Radiation hmmmmmm
Fishing only thing we still get excited about after 40 years of grinding.
You're gonna find the Simpsons three eye fish in that lake! Nice boat happy fishing!
Like the new music!
I was considering the ranger rt188p and overlooked this alumacraft boat. I like some features of both and might have to look into this model a bit more. I like the rangers battery compartment better with the extra room but your boat doesn't sacrifice the underseat storage which is a plus for me. I don't like the slanted passenger foot rest on the ranger as it takes real estate away from a coangler for his daybag. I however like the built in cooler of the ranger and the new bow graph mount. Seems like boat manufacturers always mis something and nobody makes a perfect boat. I like your setup quite a bit and installing that extra cleat by your gear shift is absolutely genius.
Banger video my man! Keep up the amazing work and can’t wait for the next video! Love the new boat brotha! 🐟🎣
Might want to check the spelling on that worm bag.. But great video...
Hey Gene, congratz on the new Crestliner! Mine is going to be ready in about 10 days and I'm ordering a bunch of stuff now so found this video helpful. Couple of things, could you post the name of the hook holder as I really like your idea of using a couple lines of them to store my most used baits or hooks. Second, as someone new to the channel (and please don't hesitate to tell me if you've already done this) but I know you are a fan of the 13 fishing gear and they sponsor you. I'm going to be looking to upgrade a few rods and reels and I was wondering if maybe you could do a video that explains A) what set 13th apart for you that you chose to use them vs other brands other than sponsorship. B) Is it worth it to step up to the higher end (which I'm considering in a couple of other brands) as I would like to get gear I can keep and be satisfied with for a long time, so don't mind spending the money if the benefits are there and worthwhile. C) Your video on what combo is best for what type of fishing was great. Not sure why folks got so hung up on it being "a commercial for 13th" when you said right up front this what about the best type for specific types of fishing. Anyway, I was wondering if you could go a bit beyond the specs and get down into the actual type of construction, feel and value items that set 13th apart. Finally, since you asked for ideas for videos, for guys like me who have to do a lot of shopping via the internet as I don't have a lot of stores close, if you were starting from scratch, (and didn't know everything you know now) how you would go about looking for a high performance rod and reel in bait casting or spinning and the key things you would hone in on, besides the obvious specs. For instance, what components would you like to see, what kind of warranty, which parts are more durable...etc. Something beyond price where you can say, if a rod or reel had these components I would tell you not to buy the "value" or "budget buy" and save up your money to buy this. Great boat and I hope to see you on the water one day!
A little Goosepond launch. I think that area is the best area on GVille. A lot of different options within a few Minutes boat ride.
Sweet boat.
Is the transponder for the front fish finder attached to the trolling motor? You didn't mention that.
yes it is
No more bass mafia?!? Love the new rig!!!
Awesome and I was able to see it live last night! Thanks for sharing and staying a little later last night the weather was beautiful!
I need to learn how to feel cover mostly any tips on that?
Hey Gene! How do you feel about the G2 compared to your SHO? Also when are we getting you down to FL for some Redfish, Snook, Grouper, and Tarpon?!
Nice boat 👍
Are you fishing near the camp Jackson Boy Scout camp
How come all your boats are square/flat hull instead of a v hull?
big fan of your channel. what type of landing net do you use? it seems nice and compact.
It's the Large Extended Leaverage Landing Net that YakAttack sells on thier website.
How much did your new boat cost.
What are "stright" worms?
What is the top speed with that Evinrude compared to the previous engine?
Lol 45 if he is lucky, a 19' boat with a 115hp is a slug
what lake?
Ford or Chevy, what do you think gene?
Right now Ford
Gotta ask wth is on that hat bill?
It’s called the Anglr Bullseye. There’s a link in the description of this video the will give you the details about it
What’s that button on your hat
GPS positioning button to drop waypoints
Ok thanks
Click the like in the description of this video. It will take you to their website

I was wanting to know the same thing
gruvfishing.com/products/big-jig-launch-pad/
nice video!!
I like bass boat and bass fishing from Japan!!
Wow.. that's a long way form the old triton with the ripped seats! Awesome setup!
You forgot to mention the 3 foot crack down the keel of that old boat. lol
@@Flukemaster Hahaha.. just wanted to make reference to let you know some of us have been here for a long time.. think my 1st video of yours I seen was "how to fish a jig in cold water" or something like that.. you had a GA beanie on. Not going to lie, there is a lot of videos I have missed but I use to have your videos on auto and fall asleep in the recliner every night to you, without intention I was giving you 5-7 constant hrs of watch time every night on videos I had already seen just waiting for a new one to come out. Hope you see this comment, I know you have 1000s
Ok. This is real odd. But I have been subscribed for a while, click on this video...and I'm not subscribed to the channel any longer and I have no idea how that happened.
I know its alot of weight but I thought that boat would have been faster. nice boat by the way. I clocked my little boat the other day at 40mph
I need an office like that!
Why not put in lithium batteries??? Less weight more power right?
Definitely going to make that wood thing for the tool holder and cup holder that’s so smart
Love the yak attack gear tracks on the bass boat. Will definitely carry that idea with me when I get a boat to add to my kayak.
Beauty!!!
Nice walkthrough. Awesome boat! One question. How is that folding brace on the motor a transom saver if it does not brace against the trailer frame?
The motor bouncing around while trailering is what causes damage to the transom. This stops the bouncing. They also found out the the ones that we’ve been using for years that go from the lower unit to the trailer damage the lower unit.
Great tackle box! Roomy, three-tiered, and super sturdy.Awesome tackle box for the price!
You going to cost me a lot of money with all these extras.. yak gear track... hook holder.. nav pod
i hate to break it to you but that is not a transom saver. all the weight and pressure is still on the transom unless your support goes to the trailer. cheers
New office every yr!! Same job 🎣🎣🤙
Great video!!
love the video, lot of great ideals. Thank you
With an office like that, you gotta work (and enjoy it) everyday ✊🏾 BTW that fish was a beast!
have they stop making this series of boat ?
Nice tour. Who makes the little red hook holder things on the lid of your center hatch?
Following
That's not just a boat its a mans boat and its a dangerous machine
Sweet walk through - congrats on the new boat. I love seeing all the cable management and tackle labeling. That alone is an art and your's looks so clean and organized.
Love the setup, I just bought a Vexus avx 1880 with the Yamaha 115 and to be honest that boat is all I need , a lot of people think that if you have an aluminum boat it’s because you didn’t have the money for glass but I really don’t glass my boat is awesome
JESUS CHRIST IS THE WAY THE TRUTH AND THE LIFE!!!
The Dream!
JESUS CHRIST LOVES YOU SO MUCH!!!
Why would you dislike this vid
You call that a big Fish
Sweet boat, I’m jealous!
I wish the hydraulic jackplate and power poles wouldn't void the warranty, otherwise I'd completely consider the Pro 185!
See if you can have it installed at the factory and maintain the warranty.
That 115 is bad ass
Whats the hook lure holder you have on the tackle lid. Thanks
It’s called the Gruv
Great looking rig Gene! I have the complete rubber flooring in my boat, I so wish my front and back decks were carpet, and the helm area rubber like yours. The decks get OUTRAGEOUSLY HOT , TOO HOT to stand bare foot on, or for a child, and definitely not a pet in the summer months. LOVE the way it cleans and always looks great, but WAY TOO HOT.. Keep up the great work! Appreciate you!!
Your Etec 115G2 recommendation confirms I will get one and now considering Alumacraft. Was thinking Vexxus. Great Video!
you should save up all your soft plastics and sell them to hobbiest baitmakers like me, soft plastics can be recycled and reused hundreds of times.
That little sony camera isn't in your video description under your equipment. Why did you use that rather than a Go-Pro?
It has a microphone jack that is way better than the GoPro Dongle.
Any advice for the first time boat buyer? Looking at tracker 175,lowe 175 price point.
Didn’t you just get a new boat? Lol
SICKKKKKKK
We have a hurricane deck boat and a evinrude 200 high out put on it and it is a monster
Gene I have the 112 fortrex and it has the vibration between 5 and 7. But other than that I like it
Nice boat but that's to much for aluminium boat. 25k to 29m no way.
If you don't mind me asking, what long sleeve shirt are you wearing?
I miss the old red alumacraft that you did the solo launch video on
WHERE ARE THE FLUKES?
In the water
Could you plz tell me those red things covering your rods what they called plz
They are TRC Rod Covers
@@Flukemaster ty
Wow love that boat thanks for the pointers on storage
Nice looking boat. I love the layout. I agree with you on the step, it needs to get all the way across. One thing you didn't mention is the button on your hat? What is that for?
It marks all my fish and more. Click on the link in the description
That's awesome. Its definitely easier that using you fish finder. The one thing i didn't see on the app, is how it works if you have no cell service. Does all the marks go into a cloud til you get service
That’s a hog !! Nice office🇺🇸⚓️
Question is where can You buy the boom stick! Or did you make it.
You can find it at TH Marine
The edit on your boat launching was great
Did you decide to stop using bass mafia
Lake guntersville?
Very cool.. Thanks for sharing your boat with everyone...
How many inches is your ultrexI have a 52 inch and my boat is brand new I feel that they installed the Ultrex in the wrong angle because you can’t even put on the foot thing because the trolling motor hangs over the edge and I see yours is in more
It all depends on the design of your boat. I'd take it back to the dealer and see if he can fix things.
@@Flukemaster 2021 alumacraft pro 185
@@Flukemaster is yours a 52 inch shaft ?
I'm pretty sure it is. I have the MotorGuide Tour Pro on it now.
Nice boat. I have a question. I have a boat and it has a middle storage box where I keep my 3700s. I store my boat outside but it is in a carport with a cover on it. Will that affect my baits like hooks or soft plastics? Like make them rusty or melt my plastics ?
As long as they stay dry it won't be a problem. Plastic melt at about 200 degrees.
Lol high quality name tags Haha (white duck tape)
Nice boat Gene. I love my aluminum bass boat. I've got a 21-footer with a 150 horsepower four stroke Merc on the back and I love it. I noticed all of your boats have been two strokes, is there a reason that you prefer a two-stroke on the back of your boat?
The last two were four strokes. This one is just part of my new contract with Alumacraft and Evinrude.
What made you want to switch back to a 2 stroke motor?
BRP bought Alumacraft. They also own Evinrude. So Evinrude is what I get. So far so good though. I'm holding my opinion until I have over 100 hours on the motor.
Would love to see a video on how you clean your boat inside and out.
Congratulations. Nice 👍🏽
Have you ever used the concept kp?
Thanks for the inspiration fluke for someone who doesn't have a boat this is an awesome video very motivating to keep working towards the goal of having one
I bought my first boat when I was 27. It was a goal I set many years before. I saved and saved.
Nice boat buddy
