And we do have our communities in Georgia with very talented people. Those communities invent their own dances and practices inspired by both our beautiful cultures. It's a complement to you as well to me, because shalaxo will always be part of Georgian and Armenian culture. Even if you wish to claim it for yourself. But I have to say the most talented Armenians come from Georgia (our national heroes like Sayat Nova) So I am glad even you like their inventions :)

yes i speak russian. but, from what i have observed. azeri dances are essentially inspired from pretty much every neighbour. often dances seem to be in complete contrast with other azeri dances. for instance, azerbaijan dances a form of halay, yet at the same time, have typically caucasian dances, often closely mimicked from lezgi and georgian dances. so of course azeri movements can be similar to georgian..but every other people of the caucasus can say the same

Dances are not about concepts. They can have all kinds of names. This dance is called after the people (Kinto) who ware dancing in such manner. Those Kinto people were mainly Armenians living in Tbilisi. So it's a dance from Armenian Georgians!!! If you listen and look closer you might understand. Watch how they use duduk , and Armenian style melodies (with Georgian drums). And Notice how they dance with handkerchiefs, something very prominent in Armenian dances (not so much Georgian)

i have never seen such beutifull and professional armenian performance of shalaxo=))NEVER!also if you like smth you always clime that its armenian) (georgians can eccept it for compliment only) so there are a lot of reasons to DOUBT!!! sorry if i heart you with this reality)

I am Armenian boy from Sukhumi I know about Tbilisi more then you think. Been there many many times : ) Even though it's a beautiful city it's nothing compared to Sukhumi (at least to me)! I'm not here to insult anyone, Im here to advocate reason. Use common sense and maybe one day you'll also understand what is mine is yours and what is yours is mine : )

kinto was metrake (pidarast) and karachogeli were proud georgian men.

Armenian cuisine - one of the oldest cuisines in Asia and the most ancient in the Caucasus.
On the contrary, the Armenians have contributed to the cuisine of the Seljuk Turks, so that many truly Armenian dishes were later known in Europe through the Turks as an alleged Turkish cuisine (eg, tolma).

thats because you never seen my dad dance shalaxo ;) . But being performed professionally is no proof of being invented by Georgians. In fact this dance is truly performed unprofessionally at parties and social events. Thats how it's became popular, not because of performances on the stage. But you guys do have one of the best ballet schools I ever seen. Very high level. And did I tell you that I'm from Abkhazia? I've been living and breathing Georgian culture. So yeah I like it.

no, you are confusing with shalaxo, which sounds quite close, which is a georgian song. kintauri (kinto in armenian) is a dance originating from tiblisi and has absolutely nothing to do with azerbaijan. it was danced primarely by merchands apparently both georgian and armenian from havlabar, in tiflis.

all this is fantastic, but completely unrelated to shushi. and if kintauri has become a wedding dance in azerbaijan, then that is a corruption of its original meaning. this was a merchands dance from tiflis..even armenians in artsax don't dance this (well not traditionally, maybe they do now, but that's because of TV and soviets spreading cultures around)

try byzantian culture. While i dont dispute persian heritage, dont say 80% is us copying you, sure, lots of our dances on the coast are about making FUN of your styles, that doesnt mean we are YOUR style, it means we make fun of you. thousands of years of war does that to a person and a culture. Dont forget, temur ledin and shah abas, they were no friends of ours and we did all we could to discredit em.

it's so stupid even to say a word about it, that it's an Armenian Dance and bla bla bla. It's a typical Georgian Dance danced by so called Kintos who lived in Old Tbilisi. Kintos were Georgian city man who used to trade with little things and had their own dress up style and dance too. Everyone can read about t in the net so there is no use in saying it's Armenianor something like that

@070dh bro Armenians and Georgians during history most of the time have live in the same country. we are almost the same people .our traditions, culture, cuisine ,belives ,mentality are the same. If Russia occupies Georgia then they will occupy Armenia. If Turks kill us then they will kill you, even our enemies are the same. This dance is another thing which connects Armenians to Georgians.

If not then I would ask you to take a look at your clothes or property and then tell my if everything you own is purely Georgian. If today almost nothing is purely of one culture (especially music) then why do you think back then everything was isolated? It's a commonly made flaw especially by the blind nationalists!
