It could be something to do with being employed by Lord Rothmere tax exile who will do anything to try and prevent a Labour government...hence Beergate, Angelagate and the consistent bigging up of little Rishi, and there's nought so blind as a paypacket.
Starmer on the ropes? You’ve got to try much harder with your headlines to undo the damage the conservatives have done and are doing. Sunak is on the ropes. He’s committing political Harikiri with some of his behaviour.
My 16 year old grandson is currently sitting his GCSE’s with one of his subjects being history. He will be sitting one paper next week which covers Nazi Germany and WWII. He hopes to go on to do A level history and then join the RAF. He would love to visit the war graves and this something we are looking to do with him. So maybe there is a small glimmer of hope for his generation being aware of the sacrifices that were made.
Perhaps you should rethink the headline Sarah.....Sunak is on the ropes,, as a blatant liar. Even your mate Dan Hodges thinks Sunak has made a massive miscalculation.
I'm a year older then Sarah and my parents were in WW2, my dad was a paratrooper in Burma so for me WW2 isn't 4 generations ago. As for the Falklands it was felt at home - by the loved ones of the men fighting. My boyfriend at the time (later husband) was down there as he was in the Royal Navy, it was a tough time, no mobiles, no internet, you just hoped and prayed that they would come back alive as many didn't.
I disagree with the fact that him being a lawyer should mean that he is used to debating. I forget who made the point quite recently, but lawyers DO NOT debate. As a barrister he is allowed just to deliver a pre-prepared speech and questions with very little interruption.
Yes Rishi definitely had more NOT knowledge, rote learnt crap.. I wouldn’t say it’s useful but definitely leaves an impression. Starmer is probably used to decorum, following the rules, fair play and having a chance to present the evidence without interruption.
...and I thought neither of them had a sense of humour....thanks for proving otherwise...Here LIES Sunak...and as for Vine criticising Starmer....she married Okey Cokey Gove....Master Pierce ...how much has Sunak put up taxes...AND HE HAS...?
Starmer was absolutely awful he looked slow and boring now they are trying to turn it on sunak because they know sunak came out on top labour . We have too keep labour OUT of number ten seriously OUT.
How are you going to keep Labour out? The Tories would need a new leader to have even a slight chance of doing that. Voting Reform certainly won’t do it.
Around 14 mins the point was made that, if you walk around parts of London you are inhaling cannabis. You don't need to go to London; try walking round Ramsgate town centre without smelling the stuff - it's everywhere!
These two need to catch up. Sunak's lie has already been called out across the media. Starmer quietly let Sunak repeat the lie and now Sunak is screwed by his lie.
My grandfather was in the British exberdishonry force at Dunkirk was captured and taken prisoner he saw his best friend shot dead at the end of the war on the death march because his friend could not keep up so the Nazis shot him my Great uncle worked in the spitfire factory making fighter planes and one of my other great uncles was in the merchant navy and another in the American army even though he was Irish he ran away from Ireland and went to America and joined the American army
I have not seen it reported anywhere that all these private schools which will now have to be VAT REGISTERED, can CLAIM back VAT for 4 years. So any big building projects, electrical bills, stationary - literally everything with a VAT charge can be claimed back! All VAT charged services such as Accountancy Legal Plumbing paid for in the last 6 months, can also be claimed back It’s the only fun thing about the tedious business of being a tax collector for the government!!! This will cost the government a lot of money - watch the savvy accountants - lest we think the ‘private’ schools are completely stupid. Duh 🙄 THIS IS FROM GOVERNMENT SITE: You can generally reclaim VAT on goods you bought up to 4 years before you registered for VAT and services you bought up to 6 months before you registered as long as the following conditions are met; The goods were bought by you as the entity that is now registered for VAT
The issue isn't that the schools can reclaim VAT, it is that their "sales" - student fees - will now (if Labour is elected) attract a VAT charge to the customer (parents). Can the parents afford to pay an extra 20% (which they cannot reclaim). Those that can't will have to take their children out of the private school and put them into state schools. So, the smart Labour party will not receive additional VAT into the treasury - which, along with non-dom tax - they have spent a dozen times over. Plus, they will have to provide additional spend on state schools. As always with politics of envy, the consequences are never thought through, or costed.
@@Moodyblue-o9n Thank you for bothering to reply!! My point was that they are trying to persuade the electorate the increase of funds that will come from the 20% VAT to the Treasury, is only part of the story, when in actual fact they will have a barrage of CLAIMS from every school who has a savvy accountant! So not only will they lose a large number of pupils, but there will be a big cost factor…
@@Moodyblue-o9n And of course the small issue of … where are these pupils all going to be placed in an ‘overloaded and struggling’ State School System - attempting to educate British children alongside so many immigrant non English speaking children!
These two are probably paid to air these opinions, very lopsided analysis and misses any opportunity to criticise Sunak, smacks of paid journalism, but then this is the Daily Mail's online channel, what do you expect? I feel sorry for anyone believing this stuff, probably not the time nor the skill to do even a cursory or small research into what is *really* going on
They need to clone Nigel Farage so that there is someone as dynamic as Nigel in every constituency and then Nigel would walk into Downing Street more easily and that is where he belongs. Time for positive change and the only person for the job is Nigel as the forthcoming TV debate will prove. Go you Nigel you rock! Time you got the keys to Downing Street, the others have ruined this country between them so far. Nigel is our only hope, he is the People's Prime Minister not the governments or the civil servants puppet unlike the others.
If sunak had not been there I would have fallen asleep starmer is so boring. Labour are saying he lied to try and deflect from sunak coming out on top.
Surely we shouldn't be surprised about this happening in London, all these immigrants who live here all have standards that are very different from traditional British. I do wish someone could have organised contraception! 😊😊
