Hi Ben love the videos. I was thinking would it be possible to use your steering wheel to control the pan of the rear camera maybe for reversing. Even use the switch which turns on your reversing light to activate it.
@ShockSlayer words of wisdom, i personally enjoy watching the build process but it is always nice to see a slightly more detailed review of the product.
@iVolkswagen Because this show is about Ben building solutions to other peoples problems, ask anyone who builds things for a hobby, the most fun part is getting there, not the final product. It's not about "Look at what I did" it's about "Look at how I did it."
What a strange kludge just to use a rotary pot. I think I would have ordered up a couple of linear slide pots and be done with it. Newark should stock those. :)
@iVolkswagen The Ben Heck Show has always been about the build process, not the actual usage of the product. Everyone knows how a Xbox works, so why waste time showing the Xbox Laptop working? Same thing applies here.

i think the building process is far more interesting than the actual use =)
I personally like car power mirrors for this sorta thing. More natural 2 axis control with a joystick.

@trickbusters1 It is! compare it to the one from last episode-it is like 23 seconds shorter!

@iVolkswagen this shows all about modding and the steps to take to get to the final product...not about the actual product

If you thumbs down the first comment, he won't be visible, thus not being first anymore.
You build this thing and use it for 2 seconds. How about a full demonstration.
