Really dude? I think it was a bit below average, both players basically just played all-ins the whole game. Dark vs Zest at Asus Rog was a good ZvP, this one was 4/10 at best.
@@zoomerboomer1396 game 3 was really bad (everyone can agree there) and there is an argument for game 5 but all-ins are especially entertaining because of the mind games that occur along with seeing sick/genius builds. Game one in particular was especially good. Game two's hold was undeniably the sickest hold we've seen in a long time. Those adepts really saved the day in my opinion, not just the vrays. Then two long macro games with the last one being such a twist. Not to mention the history this series made. Anyway, everyone is entitled to their opinion.
This match was soo good I had to rewind it to watch it twice. Best I've seen Zest perform. He was so on top of his game and stayed focused even after Rogue got ahead.

Many people had written Zest off as a gimmicky pro that cannot defeat a top 2 Zerg in a Bo5, nevermind a Bo7. Zerg is the hardest matchup for Protoss by far, and he pulled it off against the best in GSL, and top 3 in the world.
Not sure why people thought that way. Zest has played very well over the last 2 years, like 2 times IEM finalist, several tournament top 4 appearance. And on a good day, Zest can beat anybody, but Maru, in a Bo5/Bo7 series. imo, Zest play the Protoss race and strategy better than anyone else in the world until Classic show that hes back on top. Trap might have the most championship as Protoss recently, but his game is focused more on the mechanics side of thing like quicker macro/micro. Would love to see Zest win this one before this military service.
The thing with zest is he's like Cure in the sense that they have a lot of really good games but then sometimes they drop the ball so hard that people just forget all their good games. So inconsistency is present there for Zest especially for the important games (kind of like Cure although Cure throws harder) that people write him off.

no(all of it was corruptor & roach against stalkers anyway)
SPOILERS...
WOW, ZEST absolutely mapped out GAME 1...he quit making probes at 37 (about 3:30 min) and his CHARGE finished EXACTLY as his attack began, so the number of gates & units he could add was exactly mapped out ahead of time & chosen to punish the weaknesses of what the ZERG could do against it.... the only way this build could be beaten is to DISRUPT it, i.e. Zerg has to be aggressive & attack early.
SC2 players of ANY RACE should study this game in terms of exploring what your race can do in this minimum of time... IMPRESSIVE from ZEST!
Epic series. So glad it wasn't a stomp
28:21 start of first game
59:34 resume after first break
1:25:32 resume after second break
1:19:04 anyone know the song to this? Has the Arabic influenced vibe to it?
During the reign of serral, it was zest who beats him first in a series (dreamhack I believe). Zest doing a good job against another strong zerg.
didn't soo beat him first in iem Katowice?
Crazy first build, seems perfect for NA ladder too, time to raise my 40% pvz lol...
dont forget the early scout
Can confirm build slaughters ladder, fake third is not necessary on ladder so you can get a forge for +1 instead of the second adept & nexus for harder all in.
@@diwajerebation4077 The scouting probe during the pylon for the block is really what i think lets you play this greedy and delay your wall for so long; Zest is so good with builds he will be missed.
That was an epic series
In game 7, shouldn't Rogue pull back the broodlord immediately when he saw Zest's giant army knocking on his door?
He should've morphed them near his bases.
@@mark11tz yea, that is definitely better, morphing them at that dead space doesn't do anything if he's not confident in his main army
@@mark11tz He wanted to attack with the BL, and probably thought that he had enough to defend at home. He found out later that he didnt have enough and went for the panic 12-spine but was still too late.
@@tigera6 Rogue is kind of an aggressive player. He first chose to go offensive to shut down Zest's production rather than crushing Zest front line army.
Resume this game in one word: Tastasis.
What a series! Was rooting for Zest a new champ not named Maru, Dark or Rogue will be crowned.
How good are brood lords ACTUALLY?
Very impressive style of play by the series winner
Nuke silo is last building left, it is being attacked by a spine. Ghost cannot kill the spine, but has cloak and can nuke. Ghost nukes the spine destroying it and the ghost academy and leads to a draw. Re Discuusion 1:08:44
ZEST, THE KINGSLAYER IS BACK!!!!
question are they using wide screen monitors?
They are using ULTRA GEALO GAMING MONITAH
To be honest, i m a fan of these players. What ever happen i feel happy lmao
WOW...ZEST IS ONFIRE.....CONGRATS
Has anyone ever won a GSL right before going to the military? That would be an all time mic drop.
What's the name of the song at 1:18:30?
I want to see Zest vs Cure for the finals!
Let it be known that Rogue has lost a Bo7 series - online AND offline.
The reign of terror ends
The last game was amazing comeback
