About to do this on my cj3a. you make it look so easy. That paint color is shockingly nice.
Thanks, it’s a lot of work. Use the high temp engine paint it seems to stick well even if you don’t get it 100% perfectly clean.
Good thing you did that extra step to take it apart. You don’t want to break down on the trail!
Nice job. I put my trans new again too. Some spacers, rollers and pins
Looking good! Can't wait to dig into mine. I'm still jealous of your shop, mine's 30x50 and a complete unorganized mess. Take care, be safe.
michael wier - Jump in, a lot of videos fir almost anything your doing, there are some really good channels on Jeeps
Looks like it’s done right, now. Good thing you found those issues. Nice progress, in a short time.👍
Chips And Sparks Garage - love making progress, the chassis is almost complete so I can get back on the Body.
a trick : you can watch series at flixzone. Been using them for watching lots of of movies recently.
@Rodrigo Grady Yup, I've been watching on flixzone for months myself :D
@Rodrigo Grady definitely, I have been using Flixzone for since november myself =)
Guys awesome I was waiting for this part you guys r rocking.. Waiting for ur next uploads.
Biswanath Brahma - Thanks hope to do a wrap up on the chassis video then back on body work
After the full restoration wanna see the top speed of this engine
Biswanath Brahma -Guys remember this is only a mild restoration, no internal engine components were replaced...yet
Sorry you had some unexpected issues but the end result is beautiful!!! I’m impressed with how much you get done solo.
Ben Chamberlain -Thanks I’m hoping to run this Jeep around early spring and the snow here is melting fast!
Just finished tearing down my -53 3b over here in Norway. Frame to be sandblasted and painted now, then doing the axels & gearboxes (bearings and gaskets, cleanup & paint) to get a moveable rolling chassis. My Hurricane is locked & stuck, so will be pretty exciting to open it up.. Following your channel, pretty inspiring & boosts my progress :-)
Vaageskar - Are there a lot of Jeeps in Norway? Are you soaking the engine? I like to use automatic transmission fluid and some parts blaster spray. Will you be posting any video? Love to see it
@@fastdadgarage-northsouthch4418 We have quite a lot of 40´s "warriors" and Cj5 and up, but not that many 3B´s. I´ve soaked my Hurricane first with some weapon oil, then CRC & WD40. I drove it in to the garage and 2 weeks later it was dead stuck. It has been parked for over 10 years now, and finally I got the boost to start renovating it :-) Hadn´t planned any video, but maybe I should do some timelapse, we´ll see.
Trabalho que dá! Mas vale a pena.
Good! check that throw out bearing return spring, if its rusted or worn, now's the time.. They're a bitch to get in place otherwise.
I put all new in, thanks for watching and a great reminder
hey, just found your channel, awesome content, maybe you could go in-depth on how you do each part, for example the gearbox reasseembly.
I am in fact working on a very similar one i believe it is the CJ4a (in india atleast )
would appreciate any tips you could give
Shaun Josline - I’m always working in something, so I’ll try to do some closer detail
Shoulda changed the pilot bushing in the flywheel while you had it out?
I just pulled the trans and transfer case the clutch and bushing were still looking good….but I’m changing them
Over Drive goes in that hole
Transfer case cover guess: You lost it? 😬
Ben Chamberlain - No that’s the south garage that loses stuff.
The reason he left transfer case cover off. He's problably installing a atlas over drive assembly. From advance adapters.
thanks for an informative video! If you wouldn't nervously throw shit around it would be much easier to watch and easier to learn something as well!
The transmission ends up giving me some extra work, but in the end it was all well worth it. Now I know it’s ready to hit the trail.
Good content. Crap camera work!
Hard to get it all right. Still learning. Hope you can tolerate it. Any suggestions?
👎👎😒😒 When you hold the camera in your hand, you tend to wave it around too much. It may be easy for YOU to hold the camera in your hand, but the video quality is CRAP.. Use a stationary camera mount. Just sayin'.
Thanks for the input, I’m always trying to make better quality.
My 1st. Vehicle was a 1949 model 473 st.wgn
. Love that 134 cu.in. F-head , huge intake valves in the head & exhaust in the block. Luggin power! Thanks for the show.
Glad you enjoyed
