I've heard of something like this happening. The man thought his then wife would die and he didn't wanna go through thr trials of caring for her while she was sick so he divorced her. She got better, moved on and is happy now.

How much ever men promise they love their wives ,some of them start feeling unattracted to their wives once they start falling ill and then as this man told "no man likes to be tied up to an ill and sick wife" they end up finding someone else attractive and get married to them and then blame it on to the religion saying islam allows more than one marriage to men.
