Fubao, panda which is protected under Cites and WWF as wildlife in danger of extinction was born in South Korea back in 2020 July, but recently returned to Shenshuping base in China. Panda's ownership belongs to China, therefore, pandas that are grown outside China have to be returned to China at a certain age for such certain reasons as breeding, and protecting Panda breeds and experiments, so on. Recently, a photo that seemed to be taken by paparazzi or a person who actually joined in animal hospitality like meeting Panda in person and play with Panda program, has been leaked. The Photo shows that Fubao was exploited for animal hospitality and for such a program that seems to be ongoing for profit purpose in China. Animal hospitality is in clear violation of Cities and convention concerning protection of wildlife and prohibiting wildlife in danger of extinction from using for profit or commercial purposes. In addition, Fubao seemed not to be fed enough and not properly. Normal panda's excrements are dark green but Fubao's excrement shows white, which is a clear evidence that Fubao is fed only apple or carrot, not the panda's staple food, bamboo. Furthermore, her neck shows hair loss that was not witnessed when she was in Korea. And she shows tic signs around her neck and her mouth. What I and people who love Fubao want are very simple and we just want Panda’s basic needs to be met. Here is global petition ongoing to save Fubao.
