I really liked this song so much in 1979. My parents were getting a divorce in the spring, and this song always made me feel better for some reason. This live performance is spot on. They sound just like the record, so professional. At that time, it was Stumblin' In and Heart of Glass by Blondie. Those were my 2 favorites.
Beautiful! Legendary. Cult. Cute. Lovely! Suzi is so authentic in every role she presents herself: a rocker, a funny girl, a sweet girl, a good heart. ❤❤❤😊
You see kids, many many years ago, auto tune and computers didn't exist. YOU ACTUALLY HAD TO HAVE TALENT. I miss that SOOO much. I've been a working musician for 25 years now. My show is my voice and an acoustic guitar. I can so appreciate this. Music how it should be
Yeah, I miss the 1930s too before people had electric instruments. Back when musicians had real talent, not like this modern noise. - Old farts in the 1970s
I believe that a music collection is a how I expressed my moods at that time and photos were a way to capture my memories I'm now 66yrs of age i've lost alot of mates and both music and photos bring a tear to my eye when I hear surtone songs
I am an Italian boy born in 1978 and when I listen to this song (especially in this live version of 1979) I feel like I have lived (exactly in person) those fabulous years ... Suzi, I would have really liked to have been born before 1978 to have the opportunity to be able to "experience" first hand that era of which you, you are and will always be an eternal icon. I must specify that the keyboard player seen in this video (Mr Alistair McKenzie) unfortunately passed away in 2015. I got news of this directly from a press release from Suzi Quatro itself. This sad news has generated me great sadness and melancholy as if I had known this great musician in person. I therefore express, after 5 years from the death, my deepest condolences to the family of Mr. McKenzie and to all the people who knew him (in person) like Suzi. My greatest respects to all of you. (Mr Alistair McKenzie: rest in peace)
What a beautiful melody and song. There's something really interesting in this duet. They are both great singers. I love this song. I am happy i have heard it again nowdays. Thank you.❤!!!!!!!!!
Please understand, The music was pleasant , but there was devastation poverty. I never could buy anything. Not even a piece of gum . I could never buy a Beatle album.
You wonder why she wasn’t bigger in America, especially with the whole Happy Days thing as well. Suzi was huge in Australia throughout the ‘70’s, with cool songs that she belted out beautifully, and looked damn fine while doing it. The lady had real star power.
Feb. 1, 2020 - listening to oldies on Sirius while driving late at night. After I get home I go on UA-cam and watch it at several live venues. Great song!
This is just good old fashioned music without all the backup dancing, and other distractions of today's performers. It is a ballad, love song, not really what SQ is known for, but it's just a straight ahead performance by a great artist and her band. Even though the clothes of the 70's were bad, the music, and the musical talent was so much better than the drivel that passes for music today.
The music from the seventies and from alot of different artists was nothing short of mind blowing brilliance And yes some of the clothing wasn't good but if one smoked enough dope it took your mind off the clothes you were wearing Surely someone reading this may agree
LOL her so called femine qualities more closely reasonable a young man. Worse yet many who agree with your comment have the right qualifications to become catholic priests.
I want 1979 back! I was a teen in the 1970s...and lived in an inky dinky town in Idaho. We had 1 A.M. station...and they only allowed 1 hour (3:30 to 4:30) for 'teen music' I only got to hear this song a few times, due to that limitation. But a few years later I found a recording of it on cassette tape...played the hell out of it. : )
this beautiful Song reminds me much of my sister when i danced with her in our disco in 1978 two weeks later she a fatal accident 😢 and i still have very fond memories of her many years ago i had the great honor of driving Suzi with her Crew as a bus driver she is a very wonderful person
Brings back such lovely memories!!! Had left abusive husband of 8 years and then met the love of my life. We have been married for 46 years and I love him just as much if not more than our magical year of 1977!!
Suzi donated the jump suit she is wearing to an auction for Help a London Child charity held by Capital Radio in the early 1980s. We won the auction and still have the outfit. Don’t think it fits these days!
Definitely a sweeter sounding vocal from both Suzi and her keyboardist than on the record. The record is great, but her raspiness there reminded me of Bonnie Tyler. She sounds very smooth and at ease on this.
I discovered Suzi Quattro through Joan Jett. Rosie Rose was the first song I heard of hers and I was floored by how ahead of its time it was. Then this song came up on my rotation and it hit every vibe I missed about being a kid. I don't know if I heard it back then, since my parents were into funk, country, and soul at the time. See today I believe they don't go by voice singing real talent they sale the look of a male are female! There's no such thing as real talent today!
This song always puts me in a good mood
No make up. All so natural. And great music! ❤️

Leather Tuscadero!
This tune is historic and so is she.....Suzi Quatro was something else.....The girls who came after her owe her more than they could ever pay....

Can’t tell you how many times I’ve done that as well.
Love hearing old songs of the 70’s . ☮️🇨🇦💛
I have watched various videos of Suzi doing this song. I think this is the best. She is magnificent.
That was so nice to hear again. It’s been years. Always like Suzi..

Yeah, thank God the 1970s didn't have all those backup dancers like modern music of the 1960s.
“clothes bad”? That suit Suzi is wearing fits her like a snug glove. What a sweetheart!
Where was this concert?

Our love is alive
and so we begin
Foolishly laying our
hearts on the table
Stumblin' in
Our love is a flame
burning within
Now and then firelight
will catch us
Stumblin' in
Wherever you go
whatever you do
You know these reckless thoughts
of mine are following you
I'm falling for you
whatever you do
Cause baby you've shown me so
many things that I never knew
Whatever it takes
baby I'll do it for you
You were so young
ah, and I was so free
I may been young but baby
that's not what I wanted to be
Well you were the one
oh why was it me?
Cause baby you've shown me so
many things that I've never seen
Whatever you need
baby you've got it from me
Stumblin' in
Stumblin' in
Foolishly laying our
hearts on the table
Stumblin' in
Ah stumblin' in
