  • Composite Veneers? Edge Bonding? Yay or nay?
GeorgeTheDentist spits fire in this podcast - he is so down to earth! The biggest takeaway for me was what to SAY to your patients before starting a composite bonding case regarding the maintenance 'contract' or 'marriage' between you and the patient.

I went in for veneers and come out with invisaline for 3-6 months and some composite edge bonding when alligned. Saved myself about 4 grand and kept natural teeth without any damage to enamel

Good to know. Are you still happy with the edge bonding? How does it look after a year?

Very interesting. My dentist wants to do bonding on my six front upper teeth when I am done with invisalign. I have gaps between my front teeth, and they are quite worn off/chipped due to my poor bite. If bonding only lasts for five years and some filing is needed each time, how many cycles of bonding can someone expect before there is not enough tooth left for bonding?

I stumbled upon your podcasts on my free time.Amazing video! Being 61 yrs old this week with 35 yrs of practice on my back in a rather low income area in Athens Greece , I found quite refreshing to agree with so many points with a young successful dentist in another country, like George.

Can you get bonding removed if you don’t like it?

@@protrusive it was edge bonding but they put over my midline and hate it and now my bite is off as well.

The words "biomimetic" and "composite" DO NOT belong in the same title

Thanks for the video. Thinking of having edge bonding but was hesitating with composite veneers.
What about gum laser coupled with edge bonding for a more natural result than composte veneers ?
    Thank you !

Gum contouring, when done right and appropriate, can really help lift a smile yes 👍
