I lived in Enfield for three years and I just wanted to revist my old haunt back across the pond, so thank you for being the man with the camera to let me see it again. Plus I love trains.
Great video, Cyber! I always think everything in London is connected to everything else, so it's nice to see smaller branch lines like this one still exist. I liked the editing on this vlog too!
Thank you for introducing us to this short branch line Simon, I like how you give a brief history of the stations and the line itself, much appreciated.🙂
I have been on the Enfield Town line and yes it is quite short line from Edmonton Green. And I do remember the Class 315 and Class 317 that were used on the Lea Valley Lines before being replaced by the Class 710/1.
its amazing to see Edmonton Green again as ive been there a few times and interesting fact about the mamorial outside the station of where a disused station was ill have to have a look at that next time i go to Edmonton Green and the Endfield town branch is a nice line to ride and the class 710s are great units to ride anyway brilliant vlog looking forward to the next one
Ah, my local! Nice one! At 2:52, I've spent many years of my childhood, spotting trains over that footbridge. That was mostly when "WAGN" were running, with a few friendly tones from drivers too. (So mostly Class 315's and some Class 317's)
If you turn round, there used to be a sidings an manned level crossing. I worked as a signalman just off the end of the platform. Rumour has it, they closed the level crossing because the xing keepers box kept getting burned down🤷♂️
I use this station quite often, actually at the least I travel from Edmonton Green overground station twice per week, I take the train to Enfield Town station, or all the way to Liverpool Station, the service is pretty good and on time ..........
Short but Sweet Cyber! I've enjoyed your guide to the Enfield Town Branch and look forward to your next guide To Be Honest: Indeed: Class 710 Aventra: ///// ///// / Damn Buses: //
1st July 1883 said it was named Lower Edmonton (High Level) But the High Level was dropped in 1939 and was just named Lower Edmonton and that's when the other Edmonton Station closed in 1992 it was renamed to it's current name Edmonton Green That's what I said in the video so please feel free to tell me why my facts were wrong, eh?
@@Sim0nTrains I started at Enfield Loco on the 14/01/57 as an engine cleaner. The following year I was a fireman on the N7 class loco's doing 5 round trips a day to Liverpool st and back. In 1961 I went to KX for a job at Top Shed but returned 15 years later as a Driver, this time with the EMU's. This is well before you was even thought of or born. So don't tell me i know nothing, sonny. I also worked trains over the loop line stopping at Edmonton low level in Edmonton green at weekends. that went through to Angel Road station during the electrification. As I said before, you need to get your facts straight first and try not to show yourself up in your ignorance.
@g7usl honestly, that's good to hear and with your statement, fair enough, I'm not a professional and don't know everything, but you didn't answer the question that I asked you, why are the facts that I've mentioned are wrong, I don't mind being corrected, I welcome it

No your wrong! Lower Edmonton was renamed Edmonton Green. Try and get facts right, eh?
