I split my big list of spooky reads for September to November. September was vampires and witches. October is the spookiest ones. November is the rest all together I have 19 books
“Ugh I’m stressed, I just want to read everything.” GIRL SAME! I can’t wait to see your wrap up and see which of these books you got to in October!!! 🎃
How i wish I could get the fairly loot versions of your books. Your books are the most gorgeous books i've ever seen and I wish you would come to America! :)
@AFrolicThroughFiction lol, well, I'd love to have you stop for a visit in America, but I meant the fairy loot books! I'll have to look up the USA version! I didnt realize you sold here as well! Thanks 😊
By the pricking of my thumbs, something wicked this way comes! Gotta love Macbeth, inspiration to generations of writers. The Halloween Tree by Bradbury is a great audio book we listen too every Halloween 🎃
All I can say is that I am wishing you the very best of luck with your reading for the best month of the year October tbr good luck 😂😂😂prayers and blessings for you and your family love your number one Aussie family friend John 🧡🧡🧡
I have listened to The Cloisters, and I thought it was okay. That being said there were a lot of twist and turns I didn’t expect, so it was good in the end.🎃
I was so disappointed with The Cloisters. I read it in February and I remember thinking I wish someone else had taken that idea and written it differently. Maybe you’ll love it though 😊. 🎃 🧡🎃
Had mixed feeling about The Cloisters, but did find it worth reading. October is way to short, I travelled quite a bit in September and Early October, still trying to get up Halloween decor😂🎃
I just finished reading A House with good bones by T. Minister and now I'm starting The haunting of Aveline Jones which is a middleware novel. I've got some more spooky reads for this autumn like Florence and Giles, House of hollow, We Barclays lives in the castle, The Ghost of Gosswater, Bring me your midnight, Rules for vanishing, Cloisters is also on my list, Weyward, Cackle, Home before dark, Our hideous progeny, The House witch, Hex Appeal and more but I know I win have time to read all of them. But at least I've got plenty to choose from 😊
I tend to read more when I do audiobooks so I could possibly get through that stack if I listened. I’m in the mood for all the spooky cozy fall vibe books right now! 🎃
Speaking of spooky... I started The Cloisters last night. I have the same edition - preordered because of the cover and edges, and because it sounded interesting. Like you, I'm hoping I like it. Have skipped reviews but have heard some people saying it was disappointing.
🎃 doing Becca’s spookopoly for October. I am starting throne of glass series, long live the pumpkin queen, the foxglove king, the Bone season and Court of the vampire queen. I have the cloisters on my tbr too.
🎃🎃🎃😁😁 .. I'm reading The Witches of Bone Hill and A Witch In Time starting next week! Afterwhich I'll read the collection of stories by Joyce Carol Oates titled The Corn Maiden. I love October!! My favorite month!! 😃😃
I've been very much in the mood for like folkloric fantasy(like the Bear and the Nightingale or A river Enchanted) so that's what will be on my October tbr. Though I do have a few dark academia books, and some horror which I am a complete wimp, so well see how the horror goes haha
The Child Thief was my first Brom novel. I've loved all the ones I've read so far. I hope to read Slewfoot this spooky season. I just finished In These Hallowed Halls and, although I obviously had my favorites, there wasn't a dud in the whole bunch. I have filled up an entire book cart with books that would be perfect to read in October and I'll be lucky if I can read even a 10th of them.
This October I'm reading a spooky middle grade, a paranormal/fantasy (??not sure, it has witches) thriller, Rebecca, a Dickens, Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde and my yearly reread of the Hobbit 🎃🎃🎃
🎃I'm cohosting a readathon for the rest of the year so that is largely determining my TBR but I've got a few spooky middle grades (The Clackity and The Graveyard Book), A Dowry of Blood (the group read), and The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy (😂a wild card that fits a prompt)
I started my dark academia freefall in late August with Black Chalk, continued through September with several others, and finished the month with If we were villains 🖤 I’ll be participating in Victober, but I’m hoping to keep on with one or two more da books, especially In these hallowed halls. It’s my favorite time of year too.🎃🎃🎃
🎃 🎃I have 5 or 6 readathons I want to participate in this month. 😂😅 I love it when books. One with a playlist. I’ve only seen it in some romance books so far though. 🎃🎃
Ahhh I really didn't like The Cloisters, the vibes are nice but what I thought was a sloooow burn was just a bad plot lol. Also not enough Tarot stuff in my opinionnn.
Love your videos always helps my mood. Especially at Halloween time ,I love all things hallow. Anyway I was wondering how you find what books to read? Where you research online? and what online stores to get from? I'm in Ireland and our bookstores are so bad in comparison. appreciate your time xx
🎃we do need a 2-month Halloween ✨️ 🎪"Something wicked this way comes" one of my all-time fave books! But then, I also must admit - Bradbury is my fave author 💖
I split my big list of spooky reads for September to November. September was vampires and witches. October is the spookiest ones. November is the rest all together I have 19 books
I do something similar. Dark academia in September, spooky reads October, witchy and vampire reads November.
“Ugh I’m stressed, I just want to read everything.” GIRL SAME! I can’t wait to see your wrap up and see which of these books you got to in October!!! 🎃
I don’t think I’ll be doing wrap ups anymore generally but my next vlog has the majority in! 🫶🏻
@@AFrolicThroughFiction oooo then I can’t wait!!!
Listen. Same. I do this every year. Save up all my spooky books that I cant possibly read in October but I wannnnna!!

🎃🎃🎃 I absolutely LOVE this time of the year! I need to do a lot of catching up on my Goodreads goal, so what better month to read in!

The Cloisters was the first book I finished this year and it was pretty good! I enjoyed how atmospheric it is.
Aw yay I’m glad to hear it!

Good luck with your reading this month!!
wanting to read everything on halloween/in october is sooo relatable 🤣🧡🍁🍂
How i wish I could get the fairly loot versions of your books. Your books are the most gorgeous books i've ever seen and I wish you would come to America! :)
Unsure if you mean literal me or FL to America but can confirm you can get FL books in America if that 😂 myself it may take awhile aha
@AFrolicThroughFiction lol, well, I'd love to have you stop for a visit in America, but I meant the fairy loot books! I'll have to look up the USA version! I didnt realize you sold here as well! Thanks 😊
My autumn TBR is going to take me through December. Lol! Too many books I want to read and re-read.
By the pricking of my thumbs, something wicked this way comes! Gotta love Macbeth, inspiration to generations of writers. The Halloween Tree by Bradbury is a great audio book we listen too every Halloween 🎃

Looks like a great October TBR. I am definitely going spooky overall. Most excited for From Below by Darcy Coates. Have a great month! 🎃
Now my already very long wish list has become so much bigger, thank you very much 😂🎃
You are so welcome! 😂
Yay I love October as well 🎃 I’m planning to read Over My Dead Body, The Graveyard Book, Hooky #2, Threadneedle, The Raven Boys, and Anya’s Ghost 😊
I have listened to The Cloisters, and I thought it was okay. That being said there were a lot of twist and turns I didn’t expect, so it was good in the end.🎃
I hope your stack of books will give you much much joy! 📚🤩🍁
I was so disappointed with The Cloisters. I read it in February and I remember thinking I wish someone else had taken that idea and written it differently. Maybe you’ll love it though 😊. 🎃 🧡🎃
Had exactly the same thought..
Such a good TBR! Spookopoly has chosen mine but I’ve managed to get some spooky, atmospheric books on there🎃
Great to see you back in a new video and one of my favourites 🤗
🎃

Your struggle is adorable and relatable 😂 I am of course also reading seasonal books! But Im winging it, so not sure which I'm going for just yet
I’m saving my spooky reads for October! I’m going start ( restart actually)Belladonna. I have a couple of others I have that I want to add to my TBR!
I tend to read more when I do audiobooks so I could possibly get through that stack if I listened. I’m in the mood for all the spooky cozy fall vibe books right now! 🎃

The movie of Something Wicked This Way comes is very good

i usually love October at this time, though is a little harsh on me, but I will try to make it as book it as possible❤
Sending love 🫶🏻🤎
I’ll let you know how I liked the cloisters by the way if I didn’t see it before .
Enjoy your read through Ashleigh
🎃I'm cohosting a readathon for the rest of the year so that is largely determining my TBR but I've got a few spooky middle grades (The Clackity and The Graveyard Book), A Dowry of Blood (the group read), and The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy (😂a wild card that fits a prompt)
I’m finally reading Dowry of blood

Thank you!! I work with books every day and follow a lot of people online who are bookish so I generally just hear people talking about them!
🍁🎃 🍁
