Hmmm, sorry guys, but I don't know if you can really call this the future of locating. This unit has been out for at least a couple of years. When I read the title "the future of locating" I guess I was expecting you were going to show what future products we might be going get. Or even what your expectations will be for the not so distances near future. Oh well I still appreciate you guys making the video. Thanks for that.
You're certainly right that it's over 2 years old. In fact, we shot this in the summer of 2020 but only got around to finishing it out this year. COVID threw us for a loop so we decided to focus on training videos for instruments, maps, utility knowledge, etc. What was thought to be a 9-month project took double that. Not sure that it exists but would be a nice feature.
How are you connected to the utility?
For the gas line we are but the cable line was coupled.
