I was born 88 years ago and 50 years ago I left Kenya, 3 years ago I visited, and inshalla this year again. A beautiful city ❤️ of Mombasa. I will drink madafu ( coconut) and enjoy my time
Mombasa has changed so much but one thing has not changed the friendliness, kindness and warmth of the people there. I hope and pray that spirit will always remain.
I was in Mombasa way back in 1985. I was doing temporary US Navy duty onboard the USS Constellation (CV-64), when she docked for 5 days in the Kenyan port city. The people were very friendly, and the whole crew seemed to enjoy themselves there.
Thanks Dolphin for another fine update of our beloved Kenya for us in diaspora to see.Mombasa has potential to be the next Abu Dhabi if the proper investments in infracstrure and the port are done
Of course Boss We really appreciate for your nice comments. Lighthouse(Mama Ngina drive),Msa beaches,food/drinks,Weddings,Parties etc Are best 👌 Better 2 get a local person 2 take you around Msa Will be cheaper and visit best places 👌 Peace and love 💘💕❤ Mombasa Raha.
Thank you for the video, I went there in 2012 for educational tour with Nairobi aviation college bus . I really appreciated my holidays in Nairobi city. I stayed in the hotel California dreams, I visited fourth Jesus, parc marine, the old Medina as well as the pirates beach, and I spent my previous last night at Casablanca night club. As far as I am concerned, I am looking forward to come back again in the days to come.
Jambo habarigani love Kenya 🇰🇪 I born in nanyuki jambo to all Kenyan brother and sister please 1 road trip of nanyuki santisana 💖💖💖💖💖💖💖from Leicester England 🏴
You did a really good video not too fast not too slow really really nice and not only focusing on the beachfront... The Mombasa is the greatest place beautiful people
I first visited Mombasa back in 1982. Believe it or not it will as quite small. I have a picture of a mate and myself standing in middle of road underneath the tusks on Moi Avenue - no traffic, no tuk tuks, no matatus. Moi Avenue was full of tourist stalls selling souvenirs and, again, there wasn't too much else. Nyali was busy. Incredible how it's changed.
Well hi what a great video young lady the city is amazing hoping soon to visit Mombasa this year well love the place. very interesting all the cultures thank you keep the great work up young lady. Rob From The UK
This makes me miss home. Lakini D254 kuwa chonjo ukigundua mtu haongei lugha ya mbeberu naomba badilisha uongee na Kiswahili. Huyo jamaa amekuonyesha namba yake ya simu sidhani kama alikuwa radhi na kimombo. All in all GREAT VIDEO € much love from USA❤️💕👏🏿
Good stuff @Dolphine. Huyo tour guide wako hana ufahamu wa Msa, though. The tall building next posta pension Tower is called Bima Tower, and the street he calls Biashara street, is actually Jomo Kenyatta Avenue!
Your Reflective UA-cam jacket identifies you as a Professional. Several old buildings in Mombasa need a fresh coat of paint while some roads need new markings. Hope the governor acts ASAP.
Mombasa is one city in Kenya that has got character. I say this because Mombasa buildings as you have shown in the video are painted blue and white that's why the nickname is a blue and white city. Additionally, the city has a pure and authentic Swahili vibe. Mombasa should also be called “the ocean city of Kenya." This is because this is the only major city in Kenya that borders an ocean compared to other major cities in our nation.
@@vincentkiplangat3216 Very true 👍 Lamu is 1 of the oldest towns of East Africa coast/Kenya Historical town where they used to fight colonialists /Invaders from occupying Lamu and it's surrounding islands 🏝. 🇰🇪Kenya has alot of Historical sites as Monuments,Minarets,Caves,Fortresses and other old stuff to be Remembered. That is when I was born !
That should read "Nyali was bush". Sorry. Actually, the only thing in Nyali was Nyali Beach Hotel. You had to drive down sand tracks to get to it.
Those were the good old days... After you left things changed to worse. Rest in peace Shariff Nasser.
