Count Monsparkle translated for the stage production of Der Graf von Monte Cristo. I think that translating "Monte Cristo" would be a great idea. Perhaps you could?
I personally am on the counts side Sure the children are at no fault But if your parents really loved you, they would know that whatever they did would affect you as well....one of those things being imprisoning an innocent man with power. He deserved just as much justice as you do or anybody else does And in the end even if he were called a devil for all eternity It's better than being called a fool for a wrong he never did He still would always be reminded of the one fault they forced him in to
he still overdid the punishments....in the end he was no better if not worse than his old comrades, you do not under any circumstance hurt other people who were not even in on the scheme to start with, at that Point you have crossed the line and have yourself become the evil you so claimed to want justice against.
AMALIN so your saying that if some men punish you harshly( prison for a very long time) for no good reason and just out of evil spite They deserve to GET AWAY WITH IT?! When your on the side that has never been punished as harshly as this men was, your going to tell yourself that But if you had been tortured just as harsh as this man was or worst, don't tell me you would not seek vengeance! You can say his punishments were too far, you can say he overdid it, you can say their children are not at fault(they should've known the consequences they were putting them under by the way) but those men.....DESERVED JUSTICE
Nah, he became a hypocrite. Always taking about avenging himself, an innocent man, but he turned his revenge into the thing that he despised for so long. Harming innocents. When you start affecting the people who have not done anything to hurt you in the first place, you have crossed the line. It is even worse when he KNOWS how to feels to be wronged. Still, he does it anyway, just to spit on his former "friends". It's almost like destroying the entire family of a disloyal ex that you have, even when that family knew nothing of, and had nothing to do with the ex's betrayal.

I watched the musical once but I already forgot about this song XD I liked the color choices and how well the expressions were shown on everyone's faces because it shows even more depth to everyone than just the song's tone. Color, atmosphere, and expressions you took 'em all into account wonderfully~
Oh my gosh that was amazing!! You did such a great job! I didn't expect to see animation so I was pleasantly surprised! Plus it was really smooth animation! I love the expressions and Albert looks amazing. Oh who am I kidding EVERYTHING was amazing! Keep up the great work!
I honestly enjoyed drawing Albert scenes the most from the entire animatic (not that I didn't enjoy working on it at all, but sometimes it was a bit frustrating). I'm glad he got out as perfect as I wanted him to be^^ Thank you!
Why Albert though? Why not Maximilian Morrel? After all, he's paired with Valentine de Villefort. And Maximilian too would love to find out who the Count truly is (and he does in the end), though Monte Cristo is definitely no spider to him =)
They paired Albert with Valentine in order to make the connection between Villefort and Mondego stronger, and since there's no Morrels in the musical Maximilian's existence would make almost no sense, and they needed to make the story in the musical as simple as possible.
what i noticed is Filthy Rich was looking at Diamond Tiara during that part where everyone was suspecting. Diamond Tiara is the mastermind behind it all!! Diamond Tiara is the illuminati! Okay i'm kidding
GOOSEBUMPS! This song is very emotional, catchy and the animatic makes it all the more enjoyable. Phenomenal job, I'm still shivering! I wish someone would make an english cover of this song.
And for those who can read Russian, here are the lyrics without transliteration:

If you read the book you will actually find that he had his doubts about this at some point and when he turned to God for a sign, the sign was given. So Dumas literally had GOD approve of Count's actions. /I'm gonna be talking about the book. I haven't watched the musical, but I don't think either of that is a spoiler for those who did vice versa/ He never harmed an innocent. Villefort (I'm sorry if I misspell those, I am too lazy to check them and I'm no French) would have gotten there anyway, because his wife would have found the poison somewhere else, but also his innocent daughter would have died too, not saved by the Count who would have not been there. Danglars would have just gotten away with everything he's done. Morrel junior would have been dead twice (first with his father, afterwards - when Valentine died (which would have happened, as I've already said)). Albert...well, I don't think he would have died in the whole bandit incident, 'cause they had the money to pay for his freedom..but anyway. He and Mercedes would have never known Fernand's true face. Mercedes was never happy with him and that made Fernand himself unhappy either. Also, he was a d*ck not only to Edmont. Btw, without the Count, Haydee would have remained a slave and would have also probably died too. So here you go. Bad people would have lived and prospered and good people would have died. The Count of Monte Cristo was, in the end, God's tool to make things right. At least that's how Dumas planned it to be. And that's what I've just proved. But hey, I'm just an imposter. A MatPat imposter. Thanks for reading :P
Wow. Albert and Valentine's actor's singing voices are great. Not a huge fan of Edmond/Monte Cristo's actor's singing voice though. Wow. I cannot believe I haven't commented on this video before. I remember watching it when it first came out at the start of the year, and god did I love it. Still do. I honestly think this rivals Ink Pott's Count of Monte Cristo animatics (Except for "This man is dead", that is. Though that was also a huge change in art style.) Everything from the character designs, to the song choice, to the small bits of animation here and there is incredible. And while I can't really say if I think the characters were chosen well as I do not know Albert or Valentine's personalities, anything where Scoots and Sweetie are playing characters who are together is okay by me :P (OTP :P)
I was heavily inspired by this animatic. I did my own version of this song for a video with massive influences from this animatic shots (like the chandelier shot) Keep up the amazing work!

@@user-pv2hc7co7n It’s probably because Rainbow dash is drawn to be more masculine and the colors are dull compared to the others but that’s more to do with the story and how Rainbow Dash’s character is a different pony than he was before.

I absolutely adore the face expressions on the characters, particularly Edmond Dashie. How do you do it? Seriously, how do you get those brilliant expressions? Mine always look so stiff and nowhere near as expressive. Is there some kind of secret formula I'm missing out on?
The most basic thing you can do when drawing an emotion is put a mirror in front of your face, do an expression you want to draw and then draw it looking repeatedly at the mirror.
+StupidFlyingXXFOX Now I just need to learn how to make the expressions I want to draw. I'm kind of bad at making the right face expressions because I have a deadpan face most of the time. Thank you for your advice.

Brian Durham thanks, I have been looking for this. I don't know Russian but I wanted to write it. Hey could you do the same for Who's Next?/Vultures? Please.
Brian Durham i love u.
Tyvm i was searching for this!
If only I'd had this when I was memorizing this song... I had to track down the original Russian version and feed it bit by bit through Google Translate. I probably still have the Google Doc somewhere.
Thanks for posting this!

Count Monsparkle translated for the stage production of Der Graf von Monte Cristo. I think that translating "Monte Cristo" would be a great idea. Perhaps you could?
I personally am on the counts side
Sure the children are at no fault
But if your parents really loved you, they would know that whatever they did would affect you as well....one of those things being imprisoning an innocent man with power.
He deserved just as much justice as you do or anybody else does
And in the end even if he were called a devil for all eternity
It's better than being called a fool for a wrong he never did
He still would always be reminded of the one fault they forced him in to
he still overdid the punishments....in the end he was no better if not worse than his old comrades, you do not under any circumstance hurt other people who were not even in on the scheme to start with, at that Point you have crossed the line and have yourself become the evil you so claimed to want justice against.
AMALIN so your saying that if some men punish you harshly( prison for a very long time) for no good reason and just out of evil spite
They deserve to GET AWAY WITH IT?!
When your on the side that has never been punished as harshly as this men was, your going to tell yourself that
But if you had been tortured just as harsh as this man was or worst, don't tell me you would not seek vengeance!
You can say his punishments were too far, you can say he overdid it, you can say their children are not at fault(they should've known the consequences they were putting them under by the way) but those men.....DESERVED JUSTICE
AMALIN I can already see this as becoming a superman vs batman injustice comment thing
It's almost like destroying the entire family of a disloyal ex that you have, even when that family knew nothing of, and had nothing to do with the ex's betrayal.
wrong, by getting innocents killed he became the worse villain and did more harm then the 3 friends did so nope, he is the devil
I watched the musical once but I already forgot about this song XD I liked the color choices and how well the expressions were shown on everyone's faces because it shows even more depth to everyone than just the song's tone. Color, atmosphere, and expressions you took 'em all into account wonderfully~
It has been YEARS since I first saw this, and youtube is recommending it to me again now.
No idea why, but I ain't complaining. Still love it.

I'm glad he got out as perfect as I wanted him to be^^
Thank you!
Should've been Eugenie Danglars then. That would be at least waaay more canon.
Well, I didn't write this musical, so there's nothing *I* can do with it.¯\_(ツ)_/¯

GOOSEBUMPS! This song is very emotional, catchy and the animatic makes it all the more enjoyable. Phenomenal job, I'm still shivering! I wish someone would make an english cover of this song.

Still love this animatic, thanks Stuflox for creating this amazing masterpiece
I can understand him getting vengeance on those that wronged him knowingly, but to drag others into it is crossing the line a bit.

Aww, thank you! :3
If you read the book you will actually find that he had his doubts about this at some point and when he turned to God for a sign, the sign was given. So Dumas literally had GOD approve of Count's actions.
/I'm gonna be talking about the book. I haven't watched the musical, but I don't think either of that is a spoiler for those who did vice versa/
He never harmed an innocent.
I just like to think that Dashie has to awkwardly come down at some point because they were "partying" in an enclosed space
This... is... AWESOME! The art style and the animation moments fit very well with music (which by the way is very cool). Great job, I love it!
Even after all these years, I still get chills!
How have I not discovered this channel earlier your animatics are fantastic truly.
Can I just say that I absolutely LOVE the amount of expression that you put on each of the character's faces! Well done!
Who else is coming back to this for nostalgia? Also, this is awesome! Both the song and vid!
I was heavily inspired by this animatic. I did my own version of this song for a video with massive influences from this animatic shots (like the chandelier shot)
Keep up the amazing work!

Their voices sound so elegant

I didn't realise rainbow and she's my fav pony 😭

+StupidFlyingXXFOX
Now I just need to learn how to make the expressions I want to draw. I'm kind of bad at making the right face expressions because I have a deadpan face most of the time. Thank you for your advice.
