Sweet Lee Ranaldo Jazzmaster. Wish we could have gotten some comments on that beauty. One of my favorite guitarists playing my favorite guitarist's signature model.
Neils is the man, it's very sad that many guitar players tend to go towards ugly technical music for the sake of playing something hard and forget what being a good musician is about.
@tarantism From an online interview with jazzweekly : "Well, my brother bought as many Dolphy records as he could find. I heard a lot of Dolphy because he used to listen to a lot of Dolphy and I think that the record that we were most taken by was Iron Man, which has a very atmospheric kind of ambience to it in the way it was recorded."
wilco at red rocks was great for a few songs because Nels dominated the whole sound. But he started to lay back and they went back to being unbearably boring. We left. But it was worth it for that few songs. Kudos to Wilco for recognizing his genius and giving him space.
When is nels going to get a signature jazzmaster, come on.
Yes! A Nels signature is totally overdue.
this is the content fender's youtube should show.. soulful, real genuine interesting music and musicians
Wow! Some great tips from Mr. Cline. Thank you,
-Andy
A tip : watch movies on Flixzone. Been using them for watching lots of of movies recently.
@Harrison Kristian Definitely, I've been using Flixzone for since november myself :D
I don't think there are many guitarists who are able to combine skill, innovation and emotion in their guitarplaying like Nels does. Thanks man!
I love hearing artists of this caliber describe their craft.
That whammy work at 7:45 just sparked a ridiculous amount of inspiration... Nels is unreal good.
i like the way he uses the effects
Thumbs up if you think Nels deserves his own signature model.
Its soo sweet hear a Jazzmaster, from a Jazzmaster. (Leo is smiling)
Brilliant ... Such a master of the guitar and a true innovator of sonic guitar playing at its best.
Sweet Lee Ranaldo Jazzmaster. Wish we could have gotten some comments on that beauty. One of my favorite guitarists playing my favorite guitarist's signature model.
I think I have watched this video around 10 times this week.
Love Nels Cline! This is the only video I have seen him play a Lee Ranaldo Fender Jazzblaster.

Nels Cline is a GOD!! Joe Bonamassa should give a listen!
NELS! DEVI EVER!!
I wonder if Nels ever has Wilco fans turning up at his solo gigs, and more to the point, what they're reaction to hear his more "out" stuff is.
nels rules!
This guy is Possibly The Best guitarist of our generation. Hes Right up there with Thurston Moore and Lee Ranaldo.
My favorite Nels riff ever at @1:23

Close. It's the Lee Ranaldo Signature. Lee's has those Tele Deluxe humbuckers.
this guy is doing more than just playing a guitar
@closertoharbor: it's an Electro-Harmonix 16 second delay. Cool pedal!
This makes tom morrello insignificant from here on out
Who's Tom Morrello??
Which Roy Rogers?
The Cowboy or the slide guitarist
Nels has a kaoss pad? He just became cool to me.

@libertyfalls It's a slide, used different.
@44eelz : could it be a Matchless? looks a little like it.
@neverender888 I think he deserves it, but I don't think he'd want one; He seems content with his vintage Jazzmaster
Is that actually a lee ranaldo jazzmaster at the very end?
Check out nils and. Jim campilongo
7:45 buckethead sounding :-)
