I was wondering why I kept having a gut feeling that I had seen this somewhere before when watching the VF6 pre-vis, now I have confirmation. Great find!
Hahaha, right??! Holy s***!! When I first watched the concept trailer, I was repeatedly having this funny little nagging feeling almost like I’d seen it before, and I just kept on telling myself, “No, you’re being crazy, this is obviously brand new, it’s just deja-vu…” Maaan, it’s funny that my brain picked up on it in some way, but I know for a fact that I never would’ve pieced this together for myself in a million years. Who the hell figured it out????
@@holyflame2 Not in this case though where the footage isn't from a popular movie. Before this video was made, barely anyone knew where they took it from.
@ The one you're referencing doesn't need to be popular, it just has to stay in the topic which is martial arts or Kung Fu which would attract the target audience.

The reason, according to the devs, is that this concept was made one month after the game was greenlit, and they didn’t have a Bajiquan practitioner for mocap at the time.
The Jackie VS Benny movie previous to this, Wheels on Meals / Spartan X, is responsinle for the whole Beat em Up *and* VS Fighting game genres as we know them. If only I could give you a million likes… what an amazing video. As a fan of VF I’m more than happy to see this franchise return. SEGA RULES, and YOUR CHANNEL TOO!!!
Yes, i told my self a couple of times that i've seen it somewhere, thank you for finding it. And it was one of the longest choreograph fight scene in movie history.
Fun fact: Jackie Chan challenged Benny Urquidez to a real fight, and Benny said "you let me know when you want to fight", and Jackie Chan never did commit to fighting him. Obviously that was for the best, for Jackie's sake.
Thanks for bringing this to light. Quite a shame that RGG studio made no mention of where they took the footage from for their CGI trailer, even less gave any credit to them.
I thought it was based on the morning sparring between jacky & Yuanbiao in Wheels on Meal. But i was wrong when i look up the clip. I knew it looked really familiar.

@@shemdellashemygd29 I can go with that! Man, that's a helluva trailer for an upcoming game! If the mechanics come close to that fight... Chan and Urquidez were at their primes then!! :)

actually the owner of this site saw a posto in a forum and took advantage of it without crediting it...

I didn't have a gut feeling, but I thought that the fighting sequence was extremely well choreographed -- compare to other fighting games.
Bro, you're not alone.
So THAT'S where this little teaser fight came from; and I love watching Dragons Forever too! Good on the developers referencing such an iconic fight!
I highly doubt they are "referencing" it. They never said a word.
@Street_Hawk As an old saying, "Some things are best left unsaid" lol. Still the reference is there.
@@Street_Hawk Buddy, you don't need to say anything to reference something.

Kudos to whoever recalled / researched this 🙏
Fun fact: Jackie Chan started in two arcade fighting games that used digitized actors, including Chan himself of course.
Also Jackie Chan Stunt Master on the Playstation. Pretty good action game. He did Mocap in a behind the scenes video.
Fuck fact: those games suck ass and were pieces of buggy crap.
And games for the msx. Jackie's been in loads of games
Two terrible fighting games
@@awesomereviews1561 Two terrible fighting games with Jackie Chan in them.
wow, never thought of this. These 2 scenes are super super similar! Good job!

Whoooooaaa!!! They referenced that Dragon's Forever fight?? I would've never known until I saw this video! Thank you for this! 🙌💯
I didn't recognize the choreography, but I knew there had to be a reason Akira wasn't using any Bajiquan moves.
So cool!
I was waiting for some Bajiquan too! So this is the reason 😄🙌

Wow. Nice find. Definitely inspired
Amazing find :D if VF will focus on real world fighting moves that's an instant buy

😮 i was thinking the same first time. You are a man of great culture 👏
Who ever found this comparison, is a genius, especially it's a Jackie Chan movie, and he had so many fight scenes, how did you find that out? 🤯
This information has been floating around since this trailer appeared.
I hope someday VF gameplay will reach that level of fighting realism
Now THAT's how you show off your new fighting game!
Wow, good catch! I watched this movie a while ago, didn't remember the scene so accurately. The trailer was taken straight from this, no doubt.
Yes, i told my self a couple of times that i've seen it somewhere, thank you for finding it. And it was one of the longest choreograph fight scene in movie history.
Grandes Benny Urquidez y Jackie, no había reconocido la coreografía! Muy buena
Ah, it was directly referencing Jackie Chan's fight. Pretty cool of the devs.
I don't think I've watched this movie yet, might have to one day.
It did feel familiar..even better!!! They have endless source material from old martial arts movies!!! I can’t wait!!
Good eyes catching the reference
Wow!!! I’m surprised I didn’t recognize the choreography!!!
Absolute cinema.
How did you get that, WOW! I'm impressed! ❤❤
Wow! I didn't realise this was a recreation of Benny VS Jackie until now. Thanks for pointing it out.
This is a thing of beauty
Ahhh! That's why! One of, if not the best fight scenes of all time.
You problem. This is badass
Thank THIS WAS AWESOME🔥🔥🔥
That is a good catch! 😆
So the Target Gameplay Concept Video is Jackie Chan inspired. 🤔 😆

Once of my favorite Jackie Chan movies.
Good stuff!!! Omg why didnt i see it beforehand! Ive seen this movie countless times in all kinds of dubs.
So that's where this scene is coming from.
Wow the choreo was exactly identical. At least its from a great action classic.
Bro definitely knows his Jackie Chan. Probably watching the trailer and went "Huh.. That looks familiar"
OMG, I thought about the moves I saw in the VF showcase that it seemed too similar to some Jackie Chan/Jet Li
Fighting games finally going back to being inspired by kung fu movies again instead of goofy anime - I love it!
That’s just VF others are different which is good and more options for buyers

oh my god why didn't i not notice this was jackie vs bennie the jet
Wow I KNEW the choreography looked familiar. Amazing
I'll give it to them, it's cool they modeled the choreography after this scene to show what the gameplay MAY be capable of down the line!
Akira has certainly come a long ways since his spikey hair days.
It is a tribute to his early VF1 prototype (unused in production game) model .
I like it. He looks badass. He always looked cool but this hair down/no gi top design is sick.

No wonder why it felt familiar. Great movie, Benny is a scary kickboxer
OH MY GOD AHAHA ! I shared to my friend, amazing !
Jackie Chan and Benny “The Jet” Urquidez
"OMG IS SEGA TEASING A JACKIE CHAN GUEST CHARACTER IN VF6???"
Thanks for bringing this to light. Quite a shame that RGG studio made no mention of where they took the footage from for their CGI trailer, even less gave any credit to them.
Absolutely eagle eyes to see this.
Did somebody put 2-and-2 together, or did the devs reveal the reference on twitter/X?
