@BostonAirborne Oh I can't wait to see your footage - I know it will be spectacular!! I was so bummed I missed the landing - it was right in front of the house and"super sweet"!! I did not know it was coming in - and happened to be home early today and wow!! Hurry up and post your masterpiece!!!
Wow jenf777 great catch. You have the best Logan footage! I know how challenging Logan is to take good pictures/videos and you do an amazing job. Thanks for capturing this amazing video.
@fabrice42160 Hi Fabrice! : ) Excellent - and thank you for the ID! He did not go to the gate or let any passengers off. They pulled over to the side and refueled. I guess they had been in a holding pattern waiting to land JFK - and were delayed due to the disruption of various services because of the earthquake. The pilot indicated that they could not hold longer and requested to land here. How lucky for us!! Yes! I got the PIA - and will post that too!
@OZSPOTTER Thank you! I wish the footage was better, I was nervous - and didn't pick the best "spot" to film. I am so jealous you get to see these incredible planes. Post more footage - I would love to see it!
It was EK201, DXB-JFK, did he disembark passengers at BOS and was on his way back to DXB, or he continue the trip to JFK? A PIA 777 has been diverted too did you see him?
Pretty cool...up to your usual high standard. must be pretty cool living next to Logan you get some great footage and you are nearly always there to catch the "odd" arrival...love what you do.....here in oz Melbourne and Sydney see the A380's...QANTAS, Emirates, and Singapore all fly them in on nearly a daily basis...its an ideal aircraft for this end of the world.
Jen, wouldn't it be nice to see Emirates 388's or 773's everyday? It's too bad theres probably not the market for that kind of service, but I still like the planes and believe me, when I was at Heathrow, seeing a Qantas, Emirates, and Singapore Airlines 388's all adjacent to see each other, it was just so cool!!!
@specwrite Thank you! Well, I do live close to the airport, which is great for watching all the activity - but there are also some excellent spotting locations to the airport (Bayswater Street, Constitution Beach) where you can get excellent, super close footage!
also, having the a380 for east coast flights such as JFK-CDG, BOS-LHR are good for many reasons. one is that it can then just continue on to an ultra long haul flight such as Air France on Paris to Tokyo or Singapore.
@Boston1496 Oh, I hate it when I miss something like this - I know how you feel. I missed the other landings and take offs when the A-380 was in Boston last year.
Logan Airport can hold 1 or 2 A380's but for diversions only because an A380 fully loaded or has enough fuel to make it from Boston to Paris will need at least over 10k feet of runway for takeoff but an A380 flight from Boston to New York that jumbo-jet doesn't need a lot of fuel and needs roughly at least 8k feet of runway but the runway expansion of Runway 33L to around 10,500 feet may change everything and bring in the A380

Jenn Fantastic video!!! Maggie and I got to see this big bird at the taking off. We are at the end of 22L in east Boston.
The Triple 7 is a beautiful bird and can't wait to see it glide into Boston.
I live in Eastie, and always love going to the beach or nearby on Bayswater for spotting. keep up the great work!
Thank you so much - and greetings from Boston!!! :)

So cool - I saw this from my office window when it was approaching BOS, had no idea what was going on.

@OZSPOTTER Thank you! I wish the footage was better, I was nervous - and didn't pick the best "spot" to film. I am so jealous you get to see these incredible planes. Post more footage - I would love to see it!

@jenf777 does the police or the security officers let you get so close and take pictures or videos of the airport and the airplanes???
It was EK201, DXB-JFK, did he disembark passengers at BOS and was on his way back to DXB, or he continue the trip to JFK?
A PIA 777 has been diverted too did you see him?
It is huge!!! This was the last A380 to come to Boston hope for another diversion soon!! :)

Did this huge airbus plane come from Saudi Arabia, a part of the Middle East?
Roberta Gallant Dubai, United Arab Emirates 🇦🇪 (UAE)
Thank you so much!!! :)
wow nice video from the 380 Emirates. which will be more to look at many airports. by ordered at 90 a380.
I can respond now with the cool news which I hope you have seen. Emirates will start a route in BOS next March, so exciting!!! :)

Lucky! I was thinking about coming there yesterday.never did...

Where did this divert fron New York?

where was this heading??
@OpzzaPhotography Thank you!! : )
@Aviationnation10 Yes, I believe so and think it headed back there!
What a big fat lazy bird! :) I don't really find this plane beautiful but it is always nice to watch such a huge salami taking off!
@Boston1496 Oh, I hate it when I miss something like this - I know how you feel. I missed the other landings and take offs when the A-380 was in Boston last year.
I felt that earthquake today in class
I was at my uncles warehouse and the whole building shook
I was in that flight :)
was john controlling it?

@AKidNamedKenny96 I know - me too! Wasn't that wild?!!!
Emirates ek237 A380 landing again in boston jan26 2017 at 2pm from dubai to boston. This time it's intentional
Angry cuz I missed it. Great job
I just wet myself a little! Enough said! "THREE" thumbs up. :-)
Emirates will soon be flying to Boston not A380 yet...
@PIUFS18 Back to New York I think!
Sort of. The longest runway at Logan can handle the A380. Then of course, two gates can handle the A380 as one (Gates E8A/B)
as giant as a UFO
lol true
