  • Lois is CHOC's first resident dog who is specifically trained from birth to help children reach clinical goals. Through Canine Companions, she was matched with both CHOC and her handler, Chloe, a child life specialist, to build upon CHOC's efforts to make the hospital a warm and healing place.
Her arrival was made possible through founding support from Dunkin' Joy in Childhood Dogs for Joy Program, with additional support from PetSmart Charities, Pastime with Purpose and several other generous donors.
Our resident dog program, along with our volunteer pet therapy program, will play equally important roles at CHOC. We cannot wait to see the impact Lois will have on the many patients and families that come through our doors!
