A few weeks ago, I learnt from our viewers that acclaimed actor Ashish Vidyarthi enjoys watching Food Lovers TV, and coincidentally, this was around the time that I discovered his UA-cam channel @AshishVidyarthiActorVlogs and what struck me most about his vlogs was the positivity, love and enthusiasm that he brought to his interactions with people across milieus. And like they say, the universe sometimes conspires to bring people together, and that's exactly what happened. Most Kannadigas eat Raagi Mudde. It's not particular to any community. Raagi Mudde needs royal saaru(curry) to eat like Chicken/Mutton curry or some spicy curry or thick serial curry etc.

In Uttar Pradesh we call the calf/shin bone part as 'Kareli'. The word is used to distinguish it from the fore leg which is called 'Dast'. Only traditional meat eaters in Hindi belt know this terminology. Nice to hear that the Gowdas use almost the same terminology as us in the North. Love from Lucknow.

Gowda food is such a vibe seriously. Growing up in a Gowda household this food was our gateway to heaven amongst all the ups and downs in life. And today when I look back there is no other cuisine I enjoy the most, that I cook it everyday (P.S Gowda food is not just non-vegetarian food, we have bassaru, uppusaaru, moolangi uli, molake kattidha saaru, thambittu and so much more) And Kripal sir and Ashish sir were such a cool DUO
But Gowda is not a caste, it’s a designation. Most of them confuse Gowda as Vokkaligas. There are Kuruba Gowda, Kumbara Gowda , Gowda Saraswath Brahmin even Lingayat Gowda. Just like Heggade in Malenadu region. (Eg - Siddarta Heggade was Vokkaliga, Veerendra Heggade is Jain and Ananth Kumar Heggade is Brahmin). So when they say Gowda food it ‘might be’ restricted to some dishes surely not for Veg because Molake Saaru and Tambittu are typical south Karnataka foods.

The way you described the process of the Raagi Muddhe , it’s benefits - be it terms of strengthening the oesophageal passage or else .. you were able to articulate each and every dish so wonderfully that I am sure Mr Vidhyarthi would have been floored - You are brilliant- simply brilliant Thalaiva 🙏🙏 Loved the honest reply by Mr AV on how he got to know Food Lovers TV and how your Vlog literally wowed him - your sheer passion that you exhibit while reviewing an eatery has touched his chord too like all of us 🙏🙏 What a wonderful conversation between you and Mr AV - Too good !! The key takeaway is if you are having any meal - ensure that you respect it and make it the centre stage - keeping aside all other things aside .
