- The included food on Celebrity Apex is fantastic, so is it really worth paying more for Speciality Dining? Especially when it is as expensive as it is?
In our Celebrity Apex Speciality Dining Review, we look at each of the restaurants, lunch and dinner (where the offer it) and let you know our thoughts and whether it is worth splashing out, or sticking with the included restaurants and food.
Our Review includes Fine Cut Steak House, Eden, La Petit Chef, La Grand Bistro, Raw On 5 and Rooftop Garden Grill (sort of).

Your face when eating the risotto is just about reason enough to book Eden.
He he he. Thanks Tim. It really was that good. We both thought it was the best Risotto we had ever had.
Food looks great but once the upcharge gets too high it takes the edge off for us.
We would do Eden as its so special but maybe skip some others if we did not have the onboard credit - great video as ever 😊
Definitely do Eden Stuart & Karen, it is so good, and well worth every penny, even if it is "real money" rather than OBC.

Brilliant video! It's surprised me to hear some of those prices - seems very steep when you're already on the ship. Of all the restaurants, Le Petit Chef is the one I struggle most to get onboard with - it just seems like SUCH a gimmick. That said, I've never tried it, so should maybe add it to my list...
Cheers Fraser. Le Petit Chef, is one that is worth doing for the experience once. The food was good, as we said in the video, but, you ended up distracted by the animations, and it is TERRIBLE to try and film with the projection🤣
Celebrity is definitely towards the top end of the pricing, albeit its parent company RCL, have raised the pricing game even higher on Icon, with some of them costing three times the price of Eden, which is just too steep, it's at land based Michelin star level pricing. But defo go to Eden when you get chance.

loved Raw on 5 on Beyond and got very very cocktail drunk in there. Shame about Roof top grill. We had superb meal in there, and moved just outside to the big screen to watch the champions league final which was happening about 5 miles from where we were docked in Istanbul. Great night.
Those cocktails are so good in there, although maybe having two each in there and then finishing the martini bar was not the best move for the 1st night. But it was fun. Even if one of us cannot remember the latter part of the night at all.
Ouch!...those prices are eye-watering! ......think id still try the Apex though - that does look impressive......love your channel...keep the reviews coming 😎🖖
They were a bit eye watering Arthur😂 but Eden especially was worth every penny, and if you do get on any of the edge class ships, do give it a go.

Always though that The Petit Chef looked too gimmicky to me - but, boy - did you sell me on Eden!
The Petit Chef is gimmicky for certain, but the food is good, and it is worth trying once, if you are curious. But Eden, that is a different story, we will 100% be going again on our next Edge class ship, and we hope you get chance too, it was worth EVERY penny.

Thank you Brigitte, glad you enjoyed it. And it was a good experience in Petit Chef but we wouldn't do it again in another Edge class ship as we feel we've done it now.
I got a black Friday sale for the Fine Cut on our upcoming sale I think it was $50 or 55 on sale. Will need to try that Cinnamon dessert.
You can't beat a Black Friday sale for a cruise bargain Michelle. That dessert was so good, as you probably gathered.

I liked Celebrity back when their pricing was similar to HAL and Princess . No longer . Plus all the extras are also higher .
The pricing on Celebrity has gone up a lot in recent years, even since our last sailing on them in 2018 it is up at least a third, if not more. BUT the quality of the food and service, has levelled up too, at least in our opinion. Really keen to try HAL in the future, and Sun Princess is our next cruise, in 29 days, and it will be really interesting to see how they compare with their newer ships too.

16:01 Wow what's the name of that dish inside that magic box? Presentation looks amazing.
That dish was actually one of Edens special cocktails called Veldt although there were some edible bits in it😂 and it was delicious.
