It has happened with me. I had worked on selenium with java till most part of my career. In my new organisation I got a project to work on cypress with js/ts and I started learning it. I did one udemy course on the same and then I did setup of cypress code base in my local machine and started running existing suite and used to debug the flow. I believe the best way of learning any new tool in new language is apart from learning from any courses do the setup on local and start debugging the flow. I have been working on cypress since almost 2 years. And now in my project they are planning to shift to selenium with python and they have told me to learn python so started learning python now. If one person knows java then trust me it won't be that difficult to switch tools or language. Anyhow it adds to tech stack and profile becomes stronger.
Nowadays many companies have started using cypress and playwright so if in your profile you have one more tool along with selenium with java then your profile would get more weightage.
Thank you Vinay for sharing your journey and I agree we need to be flexible in order to survive and grow 🫡
@@Mukeshotwani thank you. I hope this can help others as well.
Yes it will definitely
I followed your way. You have shared all kinds of videos it's really very helpful for me.
Thank you Rajesh
You are 100% right Mukesh.
I think techies in India are lucky that their interview it taken in their choice of language/tool and then they are asked to work on another tool. Here in Australia they don't even call you for interview until your tech stack matches 100% with what they need. It's more frustrating situation here.
So guys be happy. I think India recruitment is pretty flexible.
Thanks Ashwini, I agree with you. I hope market should get betters in few months as of now calls not coming because of Dec and March closing too.
Almost all videos you make are thoughts I get. Spot on 🙏
Thank you
