Luck and The Virgin: a 60 second soap, is a mysterious episodic serial that was created in 34 segments with each episode being only 60 seconds long in length. It is an experimental project designed as a group of mini short movies.
The series is about Valentina, a young women from Texas, who leaves her boyfriend with his drug money in tow and heads for San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. While at a tamale stand Valentina runs into Ricardo, a hit man working for a US drug cartel, and the two become involved after their bags are switched accidentally. Ricardo just wants to get his bag back and get his job done while Valentina just wants to hide from her boyfriend. Why does everyone else need to get so involved?
Shot completely on location in San Miguel de Allende, and featuring a mostly Mexican cast and crew, this experimental project paints a color of Mexico that can only be found in the lovely San Miguel de Allende.
