I really love this printer with some caveats. First is compact and light and looks slick and future like. Second, it's really good at printing photos, all the way up to 8X10". That is amazing considering its size. The printer comes with software that allows you to print composites, 2-up, 4-up etc on a single sheet of paper. Also you can print cartoon-like pictures of your favorite subjects, such as your kids. I primarily bought this printer to print photos on the run, since I moon-light as a photographer once in a while. It does a pretty good job printing text also, I also own dye sub printers that are much bigger, noisier and heavier than the Pixma 110 and do Not print text. None of my dye subs print up to 8X10" however, which is why this little printer is essential to my business. I actually have three of them, although one of them is the older model the Pixma ip90. Finding ink for the older model can be quite challenging, so I might have to upgrade sooner or later. Now for the Bad. This printer suffers from what all ink-jet printers suffer that is, the clogging of the print head. If the clogging is bad enough, you might have to replace the head, or get an entire new printer. Therefore, it's a good idea to print something every 3 weeks just to keep the print heads honest, otherwise you might run into problems. What I hate the most about the ip 100/110 is the amount of time it takes before an actual print comes out of the printer after booting up. The printer goes through some type of "Ritual" that comes with strange loud and weird noises that can be quite aggravating. How aggravating ? I purchased one for my Brother since he is on the road a lot and he gave it back to me ! He couldn't take it ! I have no other choice, so I put up with. Once it's going it is much quieter than some of my Dye sub printers, but not as quiet as my Canon Selphy CP1300. That printer is really quiet ! Another thing, is the paper-jams that happen often if your paper is not in pristine condition, or if you put too many sheets on the Tray(more than 10) . Getting back to the clogging, I had to change the print-head on each of my printers at least once, remember that I have 3 printers. They don't cost a lot however, less than 80 dollars on eBay last time I looked. Last but not least, is the primitive wireless connection. I practically gave up on it and prefer to use good old-fashioned, time-tested USB cables. Last but not least plus one, is the very expensive battery that does not seem to last more than a year. I think if you let the battery sit for too long it quickly deteriorates just like the printer, but that is just a hunch.
Would have been nice to have seen more details especially on how to set up the phone (is it an app ? do you just search via bluetooth ? does the printer have bluetooth ?) and also the battery, does it need to be purchased separately ? if so was it expensive ? How does it fit ? how long does it last ? was the ink expensive ? did it take long to set everything up ?
So you dont show us how to connect to the printer wirelessly, how to install literally anything on the printer, settings on the printer, printing from a mobile app, tablet. anything beneficial at all. Thats just geek stuff? GTFO outta here with this terrible content.
