DIY Glow in the Dark Signs:
Here’s what you’ll need:
• Glue
• Paint Brushes
• Card Stock Paper
• Washable Paint
• A Flashlight
• Photo-luminescent powder
STEP ONE: Paint your background with washable paint. With a pencil, you can also sketch out what you want to do beforehand. Before you move on, please wait until the paint dries fully.
STEP TWO: Take your glue and squeeze out the design you want raised and glowing.
STEP THREE: Before the glue dries, sprinkle the photo-luminescent powder over it so it sticks to those parts of the painting. Tap off any excess powder onto a newspaper or into a bowl. Let the glue dry completely before moving on.
STEP FOUR: Use a flashlight (or an LED light) to “charge” the paint. Charging is when the light gets absorbed into the powder, allowing it to glow. Because of the amount of light emitted, you may need to recharge your sign every so often.
