Agree, he and Mel Proctor are the only good play by play announcers to do O’s games on HTS/CSN/MASN. Kevin Brown is getting a little bit better, but does not compare, and the rest who have done the games, past and present.... mostly garbage. But you get what you paid for I guess.
Bring Sally Up and Bring Sally Down! Now Batting... J.... J... HARDY!!!!! What a great time to be an O's fan that team was so much fun I miss them soooo much! Buck's Birds will always have a special place in my heart. Anyone else miss pies in the face from Adam, Gary Thorne, Gold Glove Caliber Defense, O'Day, Jim Johnson and Britton slamming the door shut, and Crush and the boys pelting Eutaw Street on a regular basis? Brings a tear to my eyes! JJ was a core part of that team and one of my all time favorites. He legit was the best SS in the game for a few years! I drove 500 miles up to Fenway from Frederick, Md and was there for the 2 Peske Pole HR game! So great!
Hardy was such and underrated player throughout the league. His defense should have been displayed on this video. He was as good as it gets during the time he was here. Thanks JJ for helping to making this team relevant for 5 seasons, something this team has not been other than that brief stretch for the past 25 years.
Amazing video, great moments from an incredibly underrated player. Can we talk about how this video was all hitting moments, though??? The dude won three straight Gold Gloves too!
See, I was ok. Then I saw Delmon Young at the plate. "Line drive and it's down and to the wall!" Now I'm crying at work. That will always to make me cry. Such a great time to be an O's fan. J.J. had and was a part of so many great moments.
Man...a lot of faces, names, voices and glorious moments from the past. It almost gets to me thinking about those days, especially considering how screwed up the world is now. An under .500 team doesn't seem like such a big deal now does it?! JJ Hardy was a perfect fit for the team and he's a perfect fit for the Oriole's Hall of Fame. There are some guys where I'm kind like mmm...ok but JJ? There's no doubt. Hopefully he's introduced properly....... Just one last time. In closing how is Mike Deveraux not already in? Just asking! Salute to Joe Angel, well deserved and so is Jon Miller and Gary Thorne. All those guys, legendary voices. Congratulations to all the inductees!
JJ Hardy’s biggest impact for the orioles was not his hitting, not his defense, not his leadership but the fact that he was good enough to force manny machado to third base.
He hit a big grand slam in a game I was at back in 20?? I believe...I think it was a walk off or go ahead in the game at the time. He was great in his prime.
this is the shortstop fans of other clubs laugh at today but managers loved. nothing flashy or special like we see with Matt Chapman and Lindor, but he makes the routine outs easier than anyone and the difficult plays look routine
What's your favorite J. J. Hardy moment?
A lot of people dont know how good of a clutch hitter. Orioles fan from Alabama here!
When he slid in safe from the delmon young double!
Scoring the go ahead run in the "Delmon Young" game, mainly because I was there and it was AWESOME!!
@@jaydub1380 I was there too it was amazing I miss 2014 Orioles🙁
His clutch moments and amazing gold glove defense
Real Jesus tears streaming down my face rn hearing Gary Thorne again

2007 to 2019 Thorne and Hunter. Brings back memories.

J.J. Hardy was a GREAT Oriole!
Half the video should have been devoted to JJ's superb defense. He was lights out!

The quarterback of the infield for those playoff teams. Incredible trade by Macphail to land him.
He’s worth it, TJ Hardee’s better than hater
