Live Modular Synth Jam Sessions - Lost in Modulation Episode 06 - Back on the block

- A few days ago I took my modular Stuff and my recording unit back to my studio to gain a new kind of working structure after having been isolated at home with my wife. That means working and living in a quite small appartment - which demands something from both of us giving away even more space for the other person.
So this Live Modular Synth Jam Session I did when I had rebuild my setup in my studio . . .

I searched UA-cam for modular synth performance and this was the first result. I'm blown away. This is 🔥
Thank you!
Man, saved this a long time ago, revisiting this amazing performance is truly a blessing. Powerful performance!
🙏💢💢💢
Best example of composing on a modular that I've ever seen. Easily.
Thanks a lot
I’m not taking the piss, your work is fucking brilliant! I need more!
Thanks a lot - I highly appreciate your compliment!
Awesome, Maik! Brilliant sound! Love it! More, more and more, do the sound infinite! Big thank's!
🙏💢💢💢
I am a huge fan of what you've done there... Very inspiring...
Thanks a lot!
So hypnotic! Thanks for doing it 🎉
🙏💢💢
This is the first video that I see people using massive amounts of modular synthesizer to make truly remarkable and beautiful music instead of looping sounds. This is beautiful, so beautiful. I just feel it’s worth it to play modular stuff if I can make something like this.
Thanks a lot Alex for your compliment! Really appreciated!
I must say this, because I've been watching this particular jam for about 7 months now. It's like therapy for me, this one is the best comparing this to any other jams (your other jams are also very very good, but this one is something different). It hits me with nostalgia, feelings from the past, but doesn't make me sad, it makes me happy. It just makes me feel, that there's always something new and amazing coming and not to give up. Thank you, very very much
Thank you for your kind words! Much appreciated. And a good motivation to keep on going with my Modular stuff in the future.
Absolutely in love with your sound. absolutely top mate
This video finally pushed me over the hump to starting my own modular system! :) Absolutely fantastic.
This is fantastic! Its quite pretty and very well composed
What a ride. Big up Maik
just fantastic! i ve seen many videos with modular synth in you tube mostly ambient and teckno but your music is like a mix of them and so much better...congrats!!! make more videos like this and tutorials please...
Thanks a lot for your nice words. I am panning definitely more jams in the future.
Do lives tooo
That's an impressive jam.
I listened to this so many times, that I finally decided to buy a Korg Volca keys and start jamming . I don't have any background in music theory, but I design and make bitsy games, and deep down I always felt a need to start making simple analog tunes. Thanks a lot for this masterpiece :D
I'm blown away! A HUGE inspiration for my future modular synth creations! Thanks for sharing it with us!
🙏
@@MaikSchott You are located in Hamburg? Greetings from Lüneburg!
@iBenLG Hi to Lüneburg
I'm sitting here reeling from some disastrous news about a close family member. Escaping into the vast peaceful worlds revealed in this music is what I need right now. You are literally healing my worried mind.
This is honestly impressive, very nice work, truly a masterpiece.
Can easily see the amount of knowledge you've got on this, brilliant!
Keep up the goodwork
Thank you Rofen!
Sehr schön
oh damn, when this lands, it lands hard. thank you for recording this!
This is so fantastic, what a great performance! Many thanks for sharing. Instant subscribe. 👍😃
top dark wave ... cool sound and best session
Wow very solid and deep sounds man. I love how my ears respond to this!
An Eurorack synth that you can play live could be in your mix. I'm working on it now. It would take this compassion to the next level.
awesome performance and absolutely mesmerizing... :)
Feeling blessed that I found this
Brilliant work on this Maik !
Thank you!
so good!
Definitely much better than the number of followers and likes would presume.
11:50 You need some shorter patch cables and some binders! ;^)
I hate short patch cables! They block arm movement - but thanks for your feedback. Binders are in the latest videos - came to the same point at least ;)
GREAT jam I love it
Thanks for watching!
Beautiful, love analogue live jamming
🤩🤩🤩
God damn man ❤❤ keep it up. Im a producer and the modulars always make me feel like i dont know nothing about music 😂

It definitely is - you maybe should consider not to have videomaking as a second!
@@MaikSchott oh dont even get me started on that second hobby. My wife might leave me haha
😆
Hey try out vcv rack as well, its not as fun but its a great start to get into the genre.
@@sonicsupersam7793 man how to start and learn ??? I downloaded vcv rack but Where to begin ??
Fantastic jam! Keep it up!
Thanks a lot El Simon! I will.
Great work!
What are the chances of you doing an in depth tour of your setup, what each module does, and maybe even how to arrange something like this? I know basically nothing about synths, but this is fascinating.
I did a video quite like that - patch from scratch:

Ok, Agent Smith. I suppose that's one way of entering the matrix, I don't know...
🤔 Did not see it that way. But thanks Zeus!
@@MaikSchott lol! Great work, man! I can't stop hearing it. I'm trying to learn through VCV Rack, and you're definitely an inspiration!
Thanks a lot Thiago. Really appreciate that!
A bit late to this party, but: Is the first arpegio sequenced by the varigate? Seems like it from the pictures.
Very nice jam!!
Thank you! I think yes, it should be the Varigate. It a long time ago I did this session 🤔
🙃🙃🙃💯
Ace jam man!
the most expensive hobby in the world
Not to forget about cars, collecting gems, flying helicopters.
