    Hi, thanks for sharing. Have been trying to use my Retevis programming cable with the KD-C1 on my Mac but it doesn't seem to wanna recognise it under Port. Would I need to purchase a different cable do you know? Thanks, Ben

    Has anyone managed to save the message in the radio station WLN KD-C1 (Variant of Retevis RT22, Kenwood TK-F6 Smart) ? The message entry is not saved in the memory of the radio station. I save my phone number, and when reading I get the following characters:
    Embedded Message 1: % D% D)) 0
    Embedded Message 2: u Du D 0 %1 D%1D 0'

    Good friend, I bought a WLN KD-C1 radio and I still do not have the cable I can not program. At the moment I just wanted to use it as PMR but I do not know the source frequencies. Can you help with the list of 16 frequencies?

    How do you create a frequency that is private?

    • @01234slayer43210
      @01234slayer43210 3 роки тому +1

      There is an option to add ctcss/dcs on chirp, you wont hear other users of the frequency aside from the ones who have the same tone with you, but they can hear you. If you want a real private conversation on ham radio you’ll need a scrambler capable radio however it would be illegal to use it 😂

    Happy New Year :-) ... Chirp''s great for programming the likes of the Baofeng stuff (I use it for my hand held radios) but just wondering if there's any info about the Chirp team supporting the programming of DMR stuff? I dipped my toe into DMR in late 2016 (TYT MD-390) and the steep learning curve for DMR is not helped by pretty basic DMR programming software out of the box that's available.
    Thanks again 73

      Hi Sam, I've not heard of Chirp supporting DMR. I always find DMR programming very complicated! I still struggle now

      Many thanks for the reply Lewis :-) .... Yes, DMR seems a great new technology... it would be good if they could bring out software that made it a bit easier... fingers crossed!

      Yeah I agree Sam, way too hard to do. I tend to leave it alone haha.

    I've read the Zastone ZT-X6 (identical to this radio) can also use VHF frequencies with the right parameters... any truth to this, according to you? Can this be achieved in Chirp?

    • @RingwayManchester
      @RingwayManchester  7 років тому +1

      I wouldn't have thought so no. They do VHF and UHF versions but none that cover both bands.

    Hi Lewis, I have purchased a couple of Zeadio ZS-B1 radios and a programming lead. As usual, I'm having trouble connecting to them in CHIRP, and is probably the prolific driver problem? Do you know the prolific driver for windows 10?? Cheers Pal, Alex M0UTA I think these are pretty much a copy of the WLN radios.

      I have used the Retevis RT22 software for the Zeadio ZS-B1. Worked a treat.. :-)

    Just about to order one of these from Bangood (a Zastone-badged unit). I have a bunch of programming cables for other radios. Is the cable a standard one or more like the the new BF-T1 cable, which seems pretty unique? Thanks
