Nothing good can come from a situation of violence, especially when mixed with drugs and poverty. That's several battles in one to overcome for a start....
Kudos to both of you for staying with the girl and helping her. You two handled the situation better then I would have. I have zero tolerance for a little boy to put his hands on a woman. That's exactly how I think. They are little boys; not men.
Great message to the people around the world. There are many states in the USA that it does not matter if the individual that is abused does not press charges against their partner as the state attorney will investigate the case and press domestic violence charges even though the abused does not. Once the individual has a domestic violence charges on their record it makes it hard for that person to get employment, purchase fire arms, and other damage to their reputation.
This may give you both something that you can do for your country by contacting your government representative to pass legislation for the state/province attorney to file charges against the individual who has committed domestic violence.
If the individual abuses their partner they are probably abusing the children as well. The children that are raised in a home with domestic violence are more susceptible to having domestic violence in their adult life.

looking away and pretend is not your business is also wrong move... most foreigners living here, taking the advantage of that beautiful, nice country and culture, living here for years, but when it comes to the bad sides of the Philippines they close their eyes and stay silent. its not my thing... when I see something I don't like I open my mouth... because that's how my parents raised me.

There are many foreigners in Colombia who thought just because they were bigger than most of the locals that nothing would happen to them who have been robbed or stabbed or shot. It's always best to stay cautious you will always be a foreigner there especially since you don't blend in at all.
it has nothing to do with being bigger, stronger... for me, when I see someone is in danger i try to help and it always depends on the situation. sometimes you can step between, sometimes is better to call for help, police, neighbors, or other people around... and even when the situation is done, you can still offer your help and support to make sure the person doesnt suffer the same again and again. But of course everyone is different and individual. I can just speak for myself. 😊

I have family in the Philippines, and most of the province remembers me. I'm a big man 6 foot 250 pounds. They know if any man puts their hands on the woman in my family, the young one's or the older ones jail will be the safe place for him
When me and my girlfriend met i helped her flee from her abusive ex. Im happy she is safe and really found the most wonderfull woman in the world. Abuse is just wrong in all aspects. And wish more women who are living in a abusive relationship can get the currage and leave.

Unfortunately abuse is not just a Philippines problem. I grew having a father and stepfather abusing my mother. It is definitely better to have a single mom raising the children instead of living in abuse. Any man that hits a woman is a COWARD. Sorry this subject always makes me crazy. Unfortunately there are some women that feel stuck in this situation because of support and like you stated guilt from other family members.

I love my Filipina with all my heart, she opened my eyes again to simple pleasures in life, reestablished my sense of humour and at required times she, somehow, ha! knows when to calm my soul. I pray that our relationship is for a lifetime, maybe God will grace me with beyond even, or at the very least with the stupidity the world has fallen for, for many years to come.

I would feel so troubled to whiteness such abuse and would need to find strength to not go loose on the offender. Especially being basically a visitor in a foreign country. And I don’t understand how family can take such offender in protection either. If I would ever dare to hit a woman and my dad or any other family member would find out, I would likely be prepared to get hospitalized myself.
But even when drinking alcohol is not forbidden by God, there’s a reason why he said that he hates drunk people. Who can ever side to such drunk abuser?

My brother in laws sell fish from motor he is the last one to mark up sell to eat the fish. He tries to buy fish from fishermen so he doesn't have to mark up the fish so much

Being sexually abused as a child and at 9 , it's always been hard for me to trust or feel comfortable with anyone. The physical abuse stated when I was 13 a lot more than in my younger years. I try to see the goodness in people, I just can't get past the emotional side. I'm find knowing this and living my best life . I'll pray for you both .

Some deep well don't run dry, but if Lola's does you need to buy and carry water for her. Not just for drinking, but they water for washing clothes, washing dishes and bathing. Carrying water from the well is hard work too, some people have to walk quite far in the heat and carry the water back a few times a day, not an easy life.
Domestic violence happens in every country with many women. We have social services ( in the UK, so does Australia and USA) who get involved when police have been called, children can be removed from the home if the man doesn't leave, as it isn't good for the children to witness all this violence. I am sure in Germany you have a Social Services department. Most women are controlled by these violent men and put up with the beatings all their life and even try to hide it. Some men have bad tempers, some get angry when drinking alcohol, but neither is an excuse for this. There are women who beat their husbands too. Ther are three types of abuse some women put up with, verbal abuse, physical abuse and sexual abuse. Some women may have all three types of abuse from their partner. Some people say it only happens in poor households but that isn't true, Doctors, policemen, judges have been known to abuse their partners, sad but true. The xchildren in these households suffer too, not because they are beaten, but because it affects them seeing and hearing these bad arguments and fights.

Oh my gosh Andre! You need to take better care of your motorbike. Unless you don’t drive it much. You should clean the air filter every other week and clean your bike on a regular basis. I have a motorbike that I use as another mode of transportation. Only cost $4 USD per week for non ethanol gas. You should review you motorbike manual when the suggested mileage for oil change. Take better care of you vehicles so you don’t have to spend more on repairs.
my son also has a motorcycle and everybody who owns one has to bring the registration papers and other papers. the officers in check points look for them to know if you are driving stolen motorcycles.There are many stolen ones because it is easy to take them.the papers should always be with you everywhere you go.

I was raised to never hit a woman, if a man hurts a woman in my presence it will be win, lose, or draw.
The uncles can also press aggravated assault charges against the boyfriend/spouse of the girl, someone could also take pictures of their bruises. Make sure to include all three of the (victims) in case he goes back to threatening them again. Sounds like she may need to go in for domestic violence counseling.
So what happened to the man? Did he get arrested?

I had a tough childhood like that but my mom is safe with us. We will not tolerate if a man lifts a hand on her even if it's our father.. It's way better for a child to live with a single mom than with an abusive father. . Last time my father worked abroad to save up for a house with the help of my brother and when he came home he had to sleep here even tho he doesn't live here, he got drunk once again and i stayed up all night so i know he can't hurt my mom. . Next day he drank again got kicked out. . Unfortunately we are too nice people to fully cut contact with him. .
Oh so sorry to hear that 🥹. It must have been so hard, the trauma is not easy and yeah I agree I’d rather have a broken family that growing up complete but have a worst experience with complete family 😊
