I was distracted by the 10x5 grid... when there are 52 cards. But, she did say not to pick the QH or the AS, and those were not drawn. Life makes sense again. Throwing their code back at them was wonderful! Very good routine, and a great method. 😎
Totally disagree. It's either unique or it's not unique. 'Extremely or very' unique is what thick people say. Selecting the correct card is old hat and misplacing the sticker was cringeworthy.
The way the white board was done there's a hint when she erases the cards. She swaps the hand the eraser is in as well the orientation was flipped. She had a normal side where she could tilt the eraser to erase... and on the other end a peice of tape. Once she lined it up and covered the dry erase spot with the tape it became permanent
Yeah, the thing is... She wasn't trying to fool Penn and Teller. You were so focused on trying to figure out the trick that you missed the point. ...but it is still an accomplishment to have figured it out, though. I would imagine that most people probably didn't.
Right after she did it, had to rewind 10secs & watch again but that was brilliant to come up with. A little smoother transition & I never would’ve caught it. Still 1000x’s better than anything I’ve ever done.
Agreed. I bet we all thought „you‘re not really trying this on P&T, are you?“ And you where not 😂 But just imagine, if the 3C had been a hit. Going for this miracle was a bold yet safe move!
She stuck a bit of plastic on top of the 3 of diamonds on the dry erase board, when she went to try to erase it first. That is why she HAD to try to erase that one before inviting Brooke to erase the rest. And why she erased around it first
Close. The 3 is still with a whiteboard marker. If you want closely, she will rub out the numbers around it first, move to the bottom of the board and then back up, once shes back up, she's not touching the eraser to the board. And as for when she was showing the 3 before erasing the rest, she's imitating erasing it while making rubbing noises with her other hand behind the board. As for chosing the pack of cards that has the 3 reversed. That was just some killer slight of hand.
@@FreerunnerDave might be. There is hesitation and strangeness on that movement for sure. The card, she added the card to the deck. We were never offered the option to examine the deck. @@FreerunnerDave You can see that the outline of the 3 of diamonds changes when she "tries to erase it" the first time. She's either using a pen tip on her middle finger (which is where the noise would come from, rather than behind the board) or she's applying a transparent "sticker" that is on the opposite side of the eraser that she uses to erase the 3 of clubs (which is the option I'd go with).

Hah, that was gutsy, first trying your luck with an obvious guess, then doing a fairly common trick _but lampshading it yourself_. Without the final, more original trick it would've been disappointing, of course, but with it it's suddenly a fun, self-aware routine, even if not a fooler this time around. Cheers. Well, maybe anyone but not them, anyway.

@manusoftar oooh man, the trick went way over your head :) Let me address a couple of things: 1 - first off, nobody is saying that the first part of her trick was creative. it's actually an inside magician's joke. I find it funny that you are listing off ways she could have done it when she literally says OUT LOUD how she is doing it during the trick. P&T even joke about that, and they mention that she clearly was not trying to fool them with that. The first part of the trick was for the audience, not to fool anyone who knows about magic. If you missed that, or need to list a few different ways she could have done it, then you need to re-watch the video, because based on your comment, like I said the joke went over your head! 2 - The 'creative' part was the white board part of the trick. Clearly it was creative because it fooled you :) 3 - As I said in my comment, there is literally only one way she could have done it, and when you know what she does, it's obvious - you literally see her do it in the video. There is no doubt, no guessing, it's right there in the open.
Theres no such thing as "mind control" and every act of mentalism has a logical method.I'll explain: the trick where the card was turned over in the deck the presenter chose is just a standard trick which you can buy. It's called the invisible deck routine and this wouldn't fool P and T. She knew it as well. Then we move on. Behind the desk where she was grabbing the eraser, there were 52 erasers each with a sticker on the rear side with a card. She selected the one with 3 of diamonds. This is called "indexing" and is widely used. While she was rubbing, Notice how she "covers" the whole 3 of diamonds before "attempting" to rub it out. Here she plants the sticker. Then it can't be rubbed out. You'll notice the right border of the card is more prominent from adding the sticker. Hence penn used the code word "sticky ice girl". @Martin-py5ef and @roylaw1291
