The motorcycle really shouldn’t have come as that big of a surprise considering we were told Cloud Retainer literally made an Electro Powered Bicycle and a snowmobile.
Except it still kinda is though.. those were only mentions. This is the first instance of a physical wheeled motor vehicle in the entire game I'm pretty sure

I like how her story started with losing everyone and having to be alone for 500 years to the trailer where she is with everyone again and playing music, i thought it was so cool. The English version was sung by a proven rock singer and people responded well, but the Korean version sung by an unknown idol (Miyeon) received a lot of critical comments. Some people said the power was too weak, and some said the lyrics were too old-fashioned. On the other hand, the Japanese version was sung by Mavuika's voice actress herself, and there were comments saying that she was pregnant and thanked her for her hard work. By the way, I'm Korean, but I was worried that the young singer (Miyeon) would be hurt by the comments on the Korean version. People even went so far as to go to Furina's old PV and criticize the Korean version.

Because that tech is cohesive with the rest of the games style. In fact it’s BECAUSE of seeing that kind of tech early on it established what kind of aesthetics we should expect. Every nation has had its own flavor but they’ve been consistent with its style by keeping the tech advanced but yet still feel “primitive” or “alien” in a fantastical way. Then Mavuika comes along wearing a biker uniform and riding a modern looking motorcycle and it’s jarring from an art style perspective. To be clear I’m NOT hating on anything and I still I like Natlan, but I am critiquing this because it just looks off putting. Like they could’ve kept the bike concept and just changed its design to be more in line with the fantasy aesthetic and I think people would’ve been more accepting of it.

Well it makes sense the Chinese version sounds a bit more coherent... the creators are Chinese so the original tune would have been Chinese, the rest all would have had to rework lyrics to English to sync with the music while somehow delivering the same general theme the original version did. I do personally thing the English singer did the best and reache3d the highest highs. but I do SPEAK English so that's not really a differential I can really make 'practically' since understanding of different culture's singing quirks and technicalities are more innate when you come from the same culture as the lyrics you're hearing. The most novel is by far the Japanese one however, as apparently the VA of Mavuika actually sang the song as well, which isn't the case for the other languages, and that typically holds a little bit of a special significance if you can arrange for something like that.

I won't lie... I didn't even realize i was watching her demo until I checked the title. It's good that hoyo is trying new things but that really didn't feel like an archon trailer. No cool 2d transition, no demonstration of power (she punched a hole in the sky !!! Where is that kind of badass in the demo). It looks corny and not my style... I miss genshin's old trailers :(
