Warmane was called molten back then and you can just buy the Frostmourne for only 100 vote points hahah .. never thought this private server would be this popular , now I'm disappointed of my self why I didn't keep voting to get more points .
You forgot to add all the bots, multiboxers and hackers, on top of that elitist community that wants near bis characters for icc raiding.

true! the warmane frostmoune server was good, after that they did the vanilla wich is soo bad and not many player there and boring... on the icecrown server u need to PAY to get in to the game or you can wait for 5-10 min (they just disconect one bot if you pay for the skip.)

Biggest issue with warmane icc realm is how hard is to gear up for pvp. Gear progression on icc realm work like this nothing>furious(232ilvl)>relentless(251ilvl)>wrathful(270ilvl). You cannot even buy furious weapon/wand in game meanwhile blackrock players starts with relentless gear and have very easy way to get bis pve items. BGS are connected together so as a lordaeron or icc player you are in huge disadvantage. You will be farmed for months before you have a fair chance to fight blackrock players. Unless you buy pvp gear for money ofc.

I disagree, as for weapons u can get ulduar tier Items for daily free points. Farming honor is way easier when u do wintergrasp. I did 2-3 wintergrasps a day+ few bgs+weekly quests in wg and i geared my toon to 5.4k Gs full pvp in 2 weeks. Blackrock is 5.5 so its not that bad. Also most blackrock players suck cuz they didnt have time to learn their class.
Because the progression have a pattern to first get bis on pve then go on pvp meanwhile. If u weren't a pvp creep it's not so bad to get use to and if u are, well u should play blackrock anyways! That's the game politics to fill all realm otherwise everyone would only play icc or lord and blackrock would've been completely empty

My main problem with Warmane is the elitist/toxic community, everyone has such a huge ego. Tons of drama between the guilds and people.
It's just mentally exhausted to play in there.
I tried to play on Whitemane cataclysm realm but same thing, in RDFs tons of toxic people, ninja looting and more.
Do you know a good server with decent community?
I heard Turtle wow is nice but after the recent hacks im not sure if they will protect my data that well.
I think the only private server we can play without the worry of being hacked or shutting down is warmane
community is the same everywhere, some smaller servers may have better communities since there's less players but it's still not a rule

You have to form your own groups or bring friends to Warmane if you want a consistent experience.
i am a wow player that plays on retail and a friend of mine brought me to warmane because he doesn't have the time to justify the subscription.
and what can i say? this server made me lose interest in retail just because of the community.
i was doing some professions stuff in silver moon city and a random player showed up and gave me 2 pieces of lvl 80 equipment, i was only lvl 30 at the time.
also, all of my bag upgrades while leveling came from random players just giving me big bags because they didnt need them anymore.
i wish the retail wow community was this nice.

If you pay one time in life in a free game your pvp gear why not you don't use money on monthly subscription so I have no problem with it you can grind the gear for free if you don't want to pay the gear

2015? It was called Molten-WoW! And I play there since about 2011 or so…

Just started on Icecrown again. I have not played on it since 2019. It's still a very toxic community. Don't expect to get heroics done in a timely fashion. If you don't have at least a 4k GS, you will be kicked out of heroics a lot. Also there are many griefers, players with extremely bad attitudes for no reason at all, 3rd party gold sellers making guilds to try and sell gold. Oh and the exremely hyper inflated AH, 2k gold for a level 20 green item for example.
Unfortunately population matters the most, and Icecrown has it. They also have the long term investment factor going for it. Im trying to stick it out, but it ain't easy.
Thanks for sharing your experience! I had no trouble doing heroic dungeons even as a fresh 80, you can also buy a bunch of lvl 80 BoEs on AH cheap - items from ICC trash for example, so the gold isn’t inflated there, but since ppl rush through levels at x7 xp rates - there’s probably not many items to buy for low lvls, that may be why you see expensive lvl 20 gear

Not many private servers have been around a long time and you can count on. For me only Tauri and Ascension come to mind, other than Warmane ofc.

@@MEYTRIX Yeah, started dieing after the countdown and people found out Legion was still 6+ months away. Not active atm, but will be for a few years as soon as Legion finally comes out.
I started on molten wow but unfortunately I lost ALL my characters when kaer left and they rebranded to Warmane. Now I just play on BlackRock because I don't have time to grind for gear like I did in the past. I just hop in and play.

Warrmane is defentaly better than Whitemane's WOTLK but whitemane has the best CATA sever right now if you like that. It's so nice to have options now. Thanks for the update

Absolutely
Best way to do it is to organize your own raid/guild. Pugging is hit or miss.

Honestly Warmane would be perfect, but I just hopped on onyxia and only for playing 2 hours, I seen stuff that disgusted me such as Mboxxers , the most rude people in chat and bots. I would want to invest my time into the progression realm but I am afraid I will just waste time and be part of a flawed experience, especially since they actually have a rule allowing multiboxxing which is so stupid

Literally the only fine servers for me are Stormforge On Mists of Pandaria and warmane

I love getting ganked 3 times during a daily. I wouldnt know what to do with my time if i finished dailys in 5 min or less but thanks to the ganking one simple daily takes up 20 min. So less time being bored and more time running to my corpse 🙂

@@TomoStr78 no Legion servers on the horizon, sadly, only the usual uWoW and Circle around that have at least some population
Tauri SHOULD have WoD up and going within a few months and they say (I've watched Higi code, he's very active) Legion will start by the end of the year. Be patient, it will be the best Legion experience out there.

It's frustrating that the PvP experience is so unbalanced. After grinding to get your PvP gear and reaching around 5500-6000 Gear Score, you get matched against players who have purchased top-tier gear. All you see are players with 6500-6700 Gear Score and legendary weapons that can take you out in just two hits.
Try to create preg pala and find udk teammate, 5.8-6k gs enough to win games
Ofc not vs every team but u can grind some wins anyway

If you were to recommend one private server up to today, which one would it be?
I would either go with Warmane here, because I would hate losing my characters and progress, but there's also many downsides to Warmane as you can read in the comments...or Whitemane, more risky option, newer server, but still keeps improving, is already very well scripted and popular, they are working on new expansions (MoP currently in the works) - this is just my personal preference, but then someone might like Firestorm for instance, because it has the latest expansions, constant progression etc. but me personally - Warmane and Whitemane right now

Warmane pugs you cant even get into if you dont have the best heroic gear in the game.. Or you need like 6.5k gs to even get into a normal icc.
You need to join alt runs. The gs requirements are much lower and they don't often do more than 6 bosses.

If you're new, WoTlk is a great experience, but if you find MoP interesting go for another private server called Stormforge Mistblade season 2
mop is full of bugs in warmane dont try to play it. for wotlk server warmane is the best you can find in term of population.

@@srdjan72624 Icecrown is x7 xp realm, Lordaeron is x1, Blackrock is instant max lvl PvP, fresh Frostmourne realms on Warmane no longer exist, it is explained in my Warmane review video too…and if you need to talk or ask questions - you can join our community Discord (invite link should be in the video description)
Basically there used to be a frostmourne realm which would reset every season, nowadays it is replaced with classic realm.
If you want to keep your characters you can play on icecrown or lordaeron.
Icecrown has fast leveling and high population with blizzlike raids, lordaeron has normal leveling speed ( 1x ) and harder raids than normal.

@keizuka my bad actually, frostmourne chars were deleted but the new classic server should be different in that the characters will stay do you can keep your old items and level up

on most private servers you will have a delay
I play in the US and there is no lag
West coast is around 150ms and East coast is slightly better, I believe. It's good enough for causal play.

While i do enjoy warmane, I've had so much fun in whitemane, people are so fun and nice its honestly a vibe to just chat, meanwhile in warmane even though there are lots of players it kinda seems soulless in a way
I am afraid if Whitemane's WotLK can keep the population, going through zones leveling it feels really dead

@@MEYTRIX There are so many problems, let me list few:
-Soloque is messed up, anyone can create a healer, win 3 bgs and join games to wintrade with other players (some players have 10 accounts with healers).
-You can only avoid 2 players only.
-You can see on the spectator npc who's quing arena and choose to avoid certain teams and combs to get fake rating.
-Bgs have messed up match making, you will always be be placed on the losing team until you get one win, or you must create a premade, no gear balanced teams or organic games.
-There's inflation on gold and so many bots camping ores and resources (even AH) making it so challenging to farm valuable mats.
-Many MBOXERS one shotting you mid air, and ofc in bgs.
-Many scripters and cheater running free in both pvp and pve.
-and more......

@@AstronomadBG match making seems to be RNG for me. As a solo player, good healers will win 70%+ of their matches and good dps 55%+. It's a little lower if you are Horde.
I find the server has a huge Ptw model. That is making people put stuff in the AH for thousands of gold for transmog. Leaving the market completely broken. At lvl 38 I still have some white pieces because my dungeon RNG is so horrible I always either lose the rolls or people need everything. This server would be perfect if I could find a guild. Which by the way is also gated into 5K+ gear score. Which is hmmm….. why? I find this server at its core is designed for those who swipe the card and buy the items (actual equipment directly from the main website) I think without a lower player base, the game has become home to diehard elitists that only care about your gear score (you are in other words just a number) that’s pretty sad imo. I will give it the benefit of the doubt until I reach 80. If when I reach 80 I cannot gear without swiping a credit card I’m out of this server.
some if it true, needing on all items is the communities' fault, I don't think your luck on rolling for items would be affected by the server, never find that to be an issue myself, I was definitely able to gear up without paying anything, it's always faster if you donate and pay real money, but that's how most private servers operate (Whitemane, Tauri, Twinstar, Firestorm, Circle, just to name a few)
@@MEYTRIX what would you commend be a way into 5K gear score? Can you make a video on gear progression? Do you have one already? Let’s say I make it all the way to lvl 80, what do I need to do to get geared towards the 5K + mark?
@@Shadowexxc I know I worked on a video like that, not sure if I finished it, buying BoEs on the AH helps a lot, there’s many items like that you can get for cheap, that was the biggest help for me
PvE is fine, PvP is unplayable beceause one group with fun server. on arenas i have shadowmourne almost every time.
from 7 years everyday logging to warmane almost everyday bro the community is trash and based on gear score and people are very bad at pve they cant complete a 8/12 hc icc with 6.3k gear score (near bis) and guilds usually focus on money theu inv freshies to hc raids so they can gear up and sell the whole acc later for aprox 100 euros an acc its sell and buy realm and in terms of pvp when u hit high rating scripting and win trading is a big thing also aint being racist but bulkans invaded the server last 3 years and the toxcitiy level increased by high lvls+ that 12k people is a lie bcs at least there is 5k bots online lmao
after playing for 8 or so years on lordaeron im also done with this server , on lordaeron the gs inflation is insane and has gotten worse over the years and then there are the persistent ganker issues that prevent you from lvling in areas like hellfire , the problem for me is that i preffer low rate blizzlike servers which arent exactly popular and lordaeron is arguably the last realm of its kind that is still worth playing on

You can’t level on it people gank to much. It’s such a shame, I couldn’t do one quest in Outland because it got camped.
you can level, but Hellfire Peninsula is definitely very challenging with all the ganker 80s
Find people to spam RDF with and only do the easy/dungeon quests. It shouldn't take you long to gain 8 levels and get to Northrend. You can also delay going to Outland until you are slightly over leveled to minimize time spent there.
I have there 4 charracters and sometimes i return to game, warmane still is the best !❤
This sound like a paid promo. Warmane have lots of issues, just to name a few; BOTS!, hackers, p2w and lets not forget a very toxic community. GL getting into any random group..
