Okay , I discover Hollie tonight on TIDAL. Listened to Vessel Of Love twice. Loved it. Clicked on this "live" video to see / hear her but there are backing track during the "live" performance that kinda killed it for me. Disappointing but not a deal breaker.
We are her band and what we as FOUR musicians play IS live. You are correct, you can hear some backing track (which is running the minimum we can keep it to - Percussion, some sounds fx, synth pads). It's not a case of laziness, or inability, purely down to the costs of touring. We would love to have additional musicians to do every little part but it isn't always possible. We could choose to leave it all out but to the majority of listeners it will enhance the performance. In this day and age 60/70% + acts are running some kind of sequencing or track in their shows, but it is for the enhancement of the set. This set was at 01:30 in the morning on a warm Spanish summer's night and the vibe was incredible. There was a good 2,000 people start to finish enjoying the set. Come and see her sometime in the US and you can feel the vibe live in person.
