    Not many groups have the ... (what can I say?) to cover White Rabbit. Nice job girls. Show off your fearlessness.

    They do awesome without a bass player. No bass bands got more numerous later. People talk about The Doors having no bass but the organ player played keyboard bass and they got a session bassist for LA Woman. SK started the trend for the White Stripes, The Yeah Yeah Yeahs and the others.

    I never noticed Corrine before because I was always enamored with Carrie. But, now I 'get' Corrine (hope I spelled her right).

    Does anyone have an mp3 of this, or Fortunate son? I wish they had these on a live album or something more easily accessible.

    Probably the only other voice that can pull this off besides Grace Slick

    @ greg bouchard - you obviously missed the whole understanding of punk music and its related genres,not about perfect voices .notes etc - it's about rebellion against all that was and is the 'norm'.ordinary people who can't spell, sing or play having a go and having fun.why listen or even comment when you with the superior intellect should know that your opinion is a pointless exercise ! Oh wait a minute it's important to you that we know your opinion.your obviously a frustrated man

    "Alternative music is what you get as an alternative to actually learning how to play and sing." - Greg Bouchard.
    Ya, ok buddy. Probably one of the dumbest things I've ever read.

    Everybody occasionally makes picking and singing errors too. Even the Beatles.
    Yet great music (that this band produced) still transcends your small-minded commentary. If it isn't to your taste, that's fine, but criticizing minor points of technique on a crappy home-grade video cam is like criticizing a youtube comment for poor spelling. Grow the frack up. (And yeah, that spelling error was intentional.)

  • @SeagullTheFreegull

    first you talk about a lack of music knowledge, then show that you know nothing about any of the band members. 'person on the right'?? secondly, choosing to employ various picking methods(sometimes she only picks down, but if you actually watched instead of going off your arrogantly pre-formed assumptions you'd see she can upstroke just as well) is representative of more advanced music application, as opposed to repeating the same exact motions endlessly. most of all the music -feels-, and thats

    Debating about your personal musical taste is a waste of time, who cares what anyone else thinks is good?

    Generally when composing supercilious and derogatory internet posts impugning the intelligence of all those whose opinions diverge from yours, Greg Bouchard perhaps you should re-read and revise. Everyone occasionally needs are editor to eliminate spelling errors and logical inconsistencies so: "You are prooving (proving) that evolution is real except you are taking us back to the caves with your willful ignorance." Irony alone does not make your argument more coherent or less reactionary.

    Sleater-Kinney has made way more important music than Jefferson Airplane/Starship ever did, Greg Douchard. Live musicianship or not.

    wow.. someone is stuck in their musical era.. there are amazing examples of musical growth in complexity every year since the early 80's.. try turning off your radio and look for music online..

    I'm listening to this because a new friend of mine says she really likes them. I dig the songs they choose to cover, not much into their original stuff. It's simple but not the catchy simple I enjoy. But really, these cats don't seem very professional or up to par for their fan list. For White Rabbit, for example, they could've done a lot better. With their volume and other failures, they just seemed to play it to get through it.
    I'm going to check out some more stuff, maybe I've been misled, but it feels like they are just a girl band and play off of that, and don't really persue to be great at what they are doing.

      +Derrick Cisneros just a girl band the way um the beatles are just a boy band or the stones are just a boy band?
      what does that possibly mean.
      i don't know how to negotiate with morons, girl band liking or boy band liking.
      maybe your problem is you don't like rock and roll?

    I am amazed how you simply ignore reality.I said Dylan's singing voice sucks like the "singin" in this video. Then you insult Dylan with no talent examples of covers.I meant artists like Hendrix, the Byrds, Joe Cocker, Johnny Cash even Nora Jones all whom sing on pitch with no auto tune crap. Axl Rose can't sing any better than Dylan. SL-Kny will be forgotten. Here is a suggestion for you; stop trying to attack me and instead try and bring reality centered, concrete examples to rebut my claims.

  • @gtbouch
    @gtbouch 12 років тому

    Here we go again. Intelligence is not connected to grammar,syntax and spelling; Einstein couldn't spell for shirt! ha ha. Moreover, I constantly find internet posers who can't actually refute the facts and truth always resort to grammar attacks in a last ditch effort to win back some ground. No one of course is perfect; i.e. "Everyone occasionally needs are editor to eliminate spelling errors." dude wrong verb tense! Finally, you forgot to prove me wrong, therefore, this bands still sucks.

  • @gtbouch
    @gtbouch 12 років тому

    My name is Greg not buddy, what is yours? Why exactly do you think my observation is stupid? You make no attempt to support your claim, therefore it is ineffective.The players make many mistakes in both instrumental and vocal efforts. Their skill levels are about the same as most beginners and their fans are clearly undiscerning and ignorant about music. I guess it is at least better than dub-step, but not much. Have a listen to the original by Jefferson Airplane.
    Sincerely,
    Greg Bouchard
