I am a Turk. We are a nation with a nomadic tradition and a Central Asian culture. Even though our cultures and languages are not similar, I love Roman culture and architecture.
Honestly, i think western architecture are more appealing to eye but i agree on that roman culture and music is based it also has huge influence on our anatolian folk music
If you are Turk from Anatolia, then you most likely have Roman blood more than turkic. I guess about 30% Italian Greek ist Roman. and only 3-15% Turkic.
@@smartgirl_92 My father is Turkish, my mother is Kazakhstan, I lived in Turkey in Kazakhstan. There are thousands of cultural similarities between the two countries. I can say that they are almost the same, and in terms of language, they are 70-80% the same. That is, when someone from Kazakhstan comes to Turkey, they are not at all unfamiliar with both culture and language. Our religion before Islam was Tengrism. Even though we carry thousands of traditions, DNA still means nothing, brother, the important thing is to live the Turkish culture and speak the Turkish language.
@@smartgirl_92 Also, my father also had a DNA test. Approximately 52% was Central Asian, 26% was Middle Eastern, 19% was Roman-Greek and 3% was Mongolian.
@@smartgirl_92 You must be dreaming. The mixing of races is not something unique to us Turks. If we put you Greeks to a DNA test, your Hellenic genes would barely show 1%, but you say you are Greek, the same thing.
fun fact: it's the greeks that called it istanbul, and CENTURIES before the ottomans were even a thing. LOL, sad how you guys know nothing of your own history?
@@chrisfrap NOPE, it was greek. What even was greco-roman at that point? They called themselves Romans, and that was it. Or did you forget that whole thing with the church? They didn't accept them as romans or even christians to begin with. Ironically, only muslims accepted them as such. Funny how history always subverts expectations, doesn't it?
