- In late 1995, The Beatnix performed She Loves You live-to-air on The Midday Show at the Sydney Channel 9 studios. The musicians performing as The Beatnix on this track were Bruce Coble (myself, as "John"), Steven Shipley (as "Paul"), David Wood (as "George") & John Taylor (as "Ringo").
This was the last time that these four musicians performed on The Midday Show with The Beatnix. At the end of 1995, all four musicians left The Beatnix, which was owned & managed by someone else, & they formed their own group - The Beatels - which they owned & managed themselves. In fact in 1996, both The Beatnix and The Beatels appeared on the Midday Show on the same day, which was awkward, to say the least.
In true Beatles fashion, soon after forming The Beatels, the management of The Beatnix launched a number of legal damages claims cases against us, & those legal actions continued on for a number of years, although ultimately came to nothing. Both The Beatnix & The Beatels continue as separate entities to this day, with The Beatels currently in their 25th year. You can find more information about The Beatels at www.beatels.com.

Hi F.A....it's a pretty tight knit community of musos who love doing this kind of gig. We mostly all know each other, & quite often someone from one group will fill in for another group if someone is sick or unavailable. That said, I haven't had anything to do with The Beatnix in 25 years, given that the manager/owner spent so much time & effort launching legal action against my friends & I in The Beatels in the courts after we left his group.
