Action Man (Field Commander) Field Radio Record Discs
The working field radio played plastic double sided records with eight phrases on each side. The two included in the set were clear and green. The separate Field Radio Pack (34115 - without the Action Man Commander) featured red, yellow and blue records. A battery powered a motor with an elastic band drove a turntable. The sound was amplified by a primitive stylus and sound cone.

Amazing to hear the voice, but sad that it is spoiled by the music.
I had the field radio and when first got it as a Christmas present I thought they were in Chinese, so put it away and forgot about it. Months later I found it and found that under the battery was a speed control once I adjusted that it worked perfectly.
I would have enjoyed it better without the music.
My original Records from the Field Commander Box Set with Figure, play different phrases than these - great Video!
That recording on red disc sounds familiar? A famous actor
Such dramatic music.

The Space commander is ever so slightly faster than it should be.
Nice video. Could have done without the music though.
"Hold your fire, Glynis, I can't be bothered"
who was the voice of action man eagle eyes action man sounds a lot like patrick allen
Pull the bloody chord! ORIGINALS FOREVER!
Is it me or did the Talking Commander just say:' standby tosspots'.
you played loud music over it.
It was for drama and to stop people lifting the voices to other websites. There's been a lot of borrowing of hard work around my creations (and replacement stickers!)
@@WisdomDesignUK sorry to hear that.
I bought one vintage action man field radio & records but have no ideia how this is work...
Just a bit bemused how a comment saying "British GI Joe knockoff" gets a heart?
Was an Action Man made that had eagle eyes plus the pull cord to enable talking?
That record is blue not green
Sounds like Piers Morgan reading out the latest WEF propaganda

British GI Joe knockoff.
erm , no
I don't think GI Joes were ever a foot tall with fuzzy hair
You might be thinking of Action Force, that was a rebranding of GI Joe for markets who have bad associations with GIs
@@danielhowes6947 a loud, shouty knockoff with too many wheels and the paint makes you ill
Action Man was licensed from Hasbro by Palitoy and therefore not a knockoff. The name was changed because here in the UK nobody knew what a GI was although by the late 1970's Action Man had become its own brand. Also GI Joe's wouldn't have had Flocked hair and 'Kung Fu Grip' if it wasn't for Action Man.
